,I heard that the OP7 line only has their updates pushes through t-mobile networks. So if you're on another network you don't get the update. Can anyone confirm this?
Definitely false. Have a friend with a OnePlus 7 Pro on a Verizon MVNO and has received updates as recently as a month or two ago.

False. I have this model and it updates fine and fast.

Not true at all. I have this same exact model on AT&T and it has received updates just fine.

Good deal?
I have this device and a Note 20 ultra in my house now. The note 20 ultra is going back. Performance wise it is hard to tell the difference between this and a 1300 phone, which is why the note is going back. The screen on this is great, the is updates are fast, and the camera is plenty good (and I'm into photography). And battery life is easily a day (and I run two sims and like 5 email addresses).

OP also makes limited quantities of phones, they usually sell out before the next model drop. This is quite a few models back (7T pro, 8, 8pro, and nord). Not likely to see them make this mistake often (manufacturer too many and have to blow out the devices)

Are you able to make VoLTE calls on ATT with this phone?

This is a great phone. It's not wide, so using one hand is not a problem .

Meh, it's an okay deal. They're about to get a lot cheaper in the next coming months, unless you need a phone now, I would wait for a better deal.
How do you figure?

Incorrect, I've had this phone (unlocked) for about 8 months and I have Verizon. I've received all the updates to date.

Unfortunately I'm not, but that's because ATT treats unlocked phones like a red-headed step child!
But the phone is capable of it.

Been using OnePlus since the first. Minus the price creeping up on new releases, great phones.

Maybe not the T-Mobile variant (this model (but you should be able to swap to the unlocked firmware). I have the unlocked model of this and I do get VoLTE on AT&T Prepaid fwiw; no wifi calling on AT&T though.

It's decent with GCam. Being such a popular phone, GCam has also received a lot of attention for it too

You should swap to the unlocked/oem firmware. I get VoLTE on mine with AT&T Prepaid
