One time where buy now ask later backfired, I got this for a laptop thinking how could it be cheaper only to find out bare cards are. On the plus side retail box means I don't have to research to ensure I get a legit card I guess. I love how Newegg sends a stock boy to slam dunk your product in a box 2 minutes after you press order so you can't cancel.
Do you also have a desktop?

I am shopping for a wifi card, but not sure $5 off retail is worth dealing with newegg return.
NE return policy is the worst on earth, dob't buy it if you have concern about return.

why do the PCIE adapters require additional power for bluetooth via USB headers but the m.2 version does not?

chances are most people will experience compatibility issues or lemons buying pc parts. I used to buy parts from newegg when it was tax free. Now I am not sure what their advantage is.

If you have a desktop that takes this, shouldn't you be trying to get wired??
Depends on the distance, some tests have shown wifi6 is up to 20% faster than a wired cat6 when it's less than 5ft away, the speed decreases drastically compared to wired the further you go.

Note that if you are feeding your 802.11ax (WiFi 6) WAP only 1x 1Gbps ethernet uplink, you are limiting its performance severely.

Ideally you uplink to a high-performance .11ax WAP with a 2.5Gbps Multi-Rate switch, alternatively feed it with 2x 1Gbps uplinks!

I ordered the Honor 3 WiFi-6 router from Aliexpress fro $35 bucks. I can't believe how fast this thing is with my Samsung Galaxy flex Alpha
Man that is a really good price for a Wifi 6 router. Have not looked into it much yet, but it will get very little love though since its a Huawei clone by the looks of it at least in the USA.

I've been reading up on the Huawei Honor 3, and was thinking of getting 2 for mesh or wired backhaul. How's the distance/range on a single unit?

You don't need to use the antenna that comes with it. Just pull off the connectors from the card and use your own antenna connection.
guess i gotta look into it more

If you're planning to install in PCIe, you need an adapter.

In that case, it's cheaper to just get both as there are plenty of sellers with bundle the AX200 with an adapter for $25-40.

Are there any where you can plug into the M.2 port, and the Antennae headers can be replaced with the ones mounted on the Mobo?
Go with the kit
You may or may not need the Antennas depending on what wifi card you are currently using. However, this system is perfectly matched with card and Antenna.
