I'm wondering how many trips to the bank can I make to load up on a few $1000s worth of quarter rolls.
$3000 worth quarter rolls= $500 bonus amazon gift card.
And we are talking about 12,000 coins weighing 150lbs, so pretty manageable with the right motivation.
That'll work wonderfully..... if you have one hundred Amazon accounts!

what's their transaction fee?
Why don't you just ask us to take the change in for you? Seriously, this question has been answered about a half dozen times. Spend some darn time actually READING.

The first and only time I used coinstar was probably 10+ years ago. Didnt realize they had a fee, so got an Amazon giftcard. While seeing what to buy, I stumbled upon Rice Krispie Treat Cereal. I hadnt had that in years. I think I found a 4 pack and ate nothing but rice kirspie treats cereal for days. Very disappointed, I just checked and it seems they dont make that cereal anymore.
Actually, they still do. I've seen it around Kroger stores in Texas within the past year.

Physical money shouldn't even be a thing in the near future. Way too much effort and work. In China, everyone shops using their phone. Yes, there are security concerns but it's much safer than people think and quicker as well. The entire world would be more efficient if everyone just moved onto electronic payments. Even credit cards are largely outdated.

their online only lists the "amazon cash" services. i am not sure what it is. i assume its for amazon cash deposit thing that we used to do in cvs or walgreens a couple days ago.

their e-giftcard drop down menu has the amazon.com as a selection but it didnt do anything.

Amazon most likely will know if you did use coinstar in the past.
I have used coinstar multiple times in the past to get amazon gift cards and I had no issues. The $5 Promo was auto loaded to my amazon account when I added the $30 redemption code from the coinstar printed receipt. So you will need multiple amazon accounts to rinse and repeat.

Order Summary

Items: $8.84
Shipping & handling: $0.00
Claim code promo: -$5.00
Total before tax: $3.84
Estimated tax to be collected: $0.00
Total: $3.84
Gift Card: -$3.84
Order total: $0.00

My apologies if this has been previously stated, but take a picture of your receipt with your phone as the receipt will fade over time especially if you leave it in your wallet. Then you will not be able to read the GC #.

I guess someone in my family used a similar promotion because there was no $5 gift card after I added $40. Been 20 minutes now. Is it instant?

The $5 doesn't show up in your gift cards. You have to add something to your cart that is sold and shipped by amazon then you will see the $5 credit.

what is this the 2010s? what is stopping you from taking that gc number and applying it to your account within 5 minutes to 5 hours after you get your slip? they really shouldn't even offer paper receipts, they put a barcode on the display and you scan it and add it to your account. that's where we should be in the 2020s.

Can someone confirm if you can redeem the $5 promo code on gift cards?

I am assuming just like the Discover, AMEX, Chase, etc. promos, we can redeem code on non Amazon gift cards (e.g. Best Buy, Starbucks, etc.)
