Oh! Didn't know
Even if it doesn't 'miscount' there's a good chance some of your coins will be considered 'Duds' by the machine and rejected. So always bring a little extra, not $30 exact.

Probably due to the coin shortage
You should change your name to Christopher Columbus!

I'd be all over this if it was $5 for every $30 or even 5 for 50. As it stands i'd rather have the change than a bunch of money tied up on Amazon gift cards. Even though I use Amazon a lot it feels less valuable for some reason.

usually the miscounting happens with penny and dimes that have been worn.

That is not as regular amazon gift card, regular amazon gift card don't have that restriction

*Offer only applies to products sold by Amazon.com (look for "sold by Amazon.com" on the product detail page). Products sold by third-party sellers or other Amazon entities will not qualify for this offer, even if "fulfilled by Amazon.com• or "Prime Eligible."

Good catch. But similar to those Amex/Discover/Chase $x off when you buy $x and use their reward points deals.

Amazon is smart. I just saw a listing on my Craigslist "coin shortage, will pay an extra 20%" just yesterday. Amazon is about to make BANK! I bet when it's all said and done amazon is banking on a 35-40% upside

hmm this is almost 20% from a reputable place. vs. getting robbed on CL?

I doubt it would be $35 gift card. It must be $30 gift card and $5 "bonus card" aka "coupon".

How many can we redeem per account? I can get $300 coins from the bank and do this for $50?
which is why if you read the fine print it's 1st time only (per account)

Is anyone else paranoid about losing out on rare coins? This deal alone had me lose 20 minutes of Googling tips on how to spot valuable coins. I think I'll just shove this 100lb bucket of coins back into the closet.

I heard this as well. The same thing for "Penny" at TDBank, they were counting change wrong and that's why it's no longer a service at TD bank. I think even if they take 10% or miscount by that much, you're still getting ahead.
I used to work at TD. We would test penny every few hours to make sure she was counting right. She was shut down because she was a dirty girl (there would always be lint and dirt and buttons that would break her). She was free to TD customers, but non customers had to pay 10%

I didn't even know you make accounts for coinstar... II only use dit one time ever and I don't remember making an account. Also, I recall when i did it, the stupid gift card option wouldn't even work or it took most gift card options off or something.
yup you got it right. they used to have some great selections on e-giftcards with $0 fee. but then they took them all off. now just some overpriced merchandises that noone wants.

before covid I would go around and get rolls of quarters or halfs to look through.

tons of quarters with mistakes, and sometimes youll find silver.
