Back to the Future Trilogy (Digital HD) $14.99 @ iTunes [apple.com]

Meet Marty McFly. He's broken the time barrier. Busted his parents' first date. And, maybe, botched his chances of ever being born.

Back to the Future Part II - 1989
Back to the Future Part III - 1990

I've seen the first and second one probably at least two dozen times each, probably more - but I think I've watched the 3rd one once, at a drive-in, when it had just come out. Can't even remember it. Is it worth watching?

Is there a reason to buy these if the movie is already available on Netflix for "free"?

The 3rd one is in the Wild West past. Not a horrible movie, but not exactly a must watch. I'd just watch the first two over and over and maybe watch the 3rd every few years or so.

Possibly the best trilogy of all time! Worth owning on blu-ray.
Either this or Toy Story. I of course say BTTF. Favorite movie too.

The irony here is that in the movie they are at a drive in theater in the "present" before they go back to the past....

Great price given that 4K release is around the corner, and Apple upgrades movies to 4K when purchased through them.
Oh damn. If I have MoviesAnywhere unlinked from itunes at the moment and link itunes later with MA after the 4k upgrade happens, does it transfer in 4k? Might have to take risk but seems like that should work? I guess fall back would be HD quality with other providers.

If you unlink an account I'm pretty sure you have to wait 6 months to a year before you can link back up. It's meant to stop what you're trying to do lol

Smilie but I don't have it linked right now so would just wait it out until it's upgraded in 4k in Apple and then link it.

The movies might leave Netflix, thus rendering you unable to watch it, but IMO the only reason to buy them vs Netflix\Hulu\whatever is 4k HDR. October 20th the 4k version comes out and Apple will upgrade you for free. If you don't have a 4k HDR tv or don't use Apple TV (Movies Anywhere will stay HD) then it's not worth it.
