I knew this would happen but I was waiting for my 15% off coupon from last nights online course and now that I got it the set is sold out. If any knows a store number that's still good please share, would like to upgrade my stuff like everyone else.
Not to be rude here but in deals like these you better off getting access to a quick delivery coupon like from eBay etc which are sent instant, you try to save a little and get a shot at grabbing one, cause with these kind of deals they don't last long

Which package is better?

Package 1:
575 saw
996 3 speed hammer drill
(2) 60v/2ah batteries
DCB118 fast charger
$400

Package 2:
578 saw
796 2 speed hammer drill
(1) 60v/3ah battery
(1) 20v/2ah battery
6A charger
$300

I already have a flex volt reciprocating saw that came with (2) 60v/2ah batteries and a fast charger.
I would say this deal as the saw is better and the premium battery thats not jus more runtime but is high output 21700 cells and more powerful then the 6/2ah. Im honestly not a big fan of the 6/2ah batteries except for 20v tools but 9/3ah is a nice power upgrade over those especially for other flexvolt tools. Your recip will be more powerful with this battery

edit: if you need 1 more flexvolt battery you can pickup a 6/2ah in retail packaging on ebay 90 to 95 and still spend the same as the other kit or spend 430 by getting 1 9/3ah in retail packaging on ebay

Just picked up my order! Now as far as upgrading some of my old Dewalt stuff and selling, does anyone have a good feel for how the secondary market/demand is, especially for hammerdrills? Are buyers generally looking for bare tool only or are they also trying to pay more for an included battery? I need to decide whether to sell this new compact hammerdrill from this kit or to sell my older gen Dewalt hammerdrill. I'm assuming my older one is not brushless but it's beefier, non-compact, has the included handle, and 3-speeds (vs 2 for this newer compact one).

The way I price tools I am going to sell:
1.Go on eBay search the tool you want to sell.

2.Sort by buy now and by lowest price.

3. Find the price for cheapest one that matches the condition of your item. This is the going eBay rate.

3. Add 10% to The going eBay rate for the tool as your list price.(depends on area you are in too. Generally you can flip tools faster in larger cities. Prices you sell at depend on the competition in your area. In my area I live in a small poor town so even with eBay pricing which is very competitive compared to a big box store things take longer to sell and I often have to drive 30 minutes to make a sale.

4. Parting out kits yields more money than selling a group of tools together. People are willing to pay higher prices for individual tools because they would rather buy say a drill from you for 85$ because their options are either buy the bare tool at a store for 130$ or buy a 180$ kit with a charger and/battery they may not even need.

Any feedback on the 796 vs 996? I assume I could sell a 796 to buy a 996 but is it worth it?

Depends on if you actually need the power increase of the 996. I personally have the 998 (newer version of 996) for contractor daily use and 98% of drilling is metal while i have the 796 at home and prefer it over the 998 for home use. The 796 is still a good drill but is smaller and lighter. 998 is 3 speed and 796 is 2 speed is only small feature i miss but not a big deal

Not rude at all, I debated buying a coupon but I decided to wait since I knew the coupon was coming. Ended up seeing one near my in-laws at sale price with $9 delivery from the store so I did that. Saved $45 with the 15% off coupon. Hopefully it shows up today.
