I had the same problem, sign out and try again.
easy fix is to click on the prime credit card (reselect it).

I literally have a stack of these things on my table I've been meaning to sell on eBay. Maybe a dozen or so, I see they aren't worth much now

Any suggestions for language training? Stuff like pimsleur or anything?
You can go to overdrive.com and search for the title you want. It will tell you the libraries that have it. Then you can see if any offer a free library card for digital items online.

Seriously? Unusable? The ads never, ever appear while you are reading a book. Never.

On another topic, I've traded in several Kindles in the past and the reason has always been that the device no longer holds a charge for very long. It is highly doubtful that the "refurb" process replaces the battery, so keep that in mind.
Look, people were asking for a way to get the ads off. I provided an answer.

My Kindle Fire is much less laggy without ads than with them. So it wasn't wrong. I also kept the ads for over a year, so they were probably cool with it. Don't be a dick.

How's free shipping for prime members, '$6 ships your entire order'
WTH.
Oddly I selected a different CC at checkout and the $6 shipping went away and was replaced by taxes. lol
Woot's free shipping, delivering in like 2 weeks. Very Prime Amazon'ish...

Got mine already! "Acceptable" condition looks more like very good. Paperwhite 1st gen is a nice upgrade from 3G keyboard!

Same. My 'acceptable' looks brand new. I regret not picking up a couple, great deal.

My kindle looks ok but the light doesn't look uniform at the bottom.

The biggest issue is that I can't register to my existing account. This is rather unacceptable Frown WTH

I received the 2 that I ordered and both seem fine. Anyone have any suggestions on the best way to determine battery health?

Got one of the $20 ones as acceptable and it looks new I can't find a thing wrong with it. Works and looks just like my old one I bought new for $120 or so years ago. Now to find a use since my kid snubbed her nose at this thing.

I received the hdx 7, but it won't charge, been charging for 8 hours now. It looks new and probably just sitting somewhere for years. I can try to replace the battery if that's the only issue and ask woot to cover the cost. I like the form factor, not sure if woot still has stock to replace it.

The Oasis I ordered is apparently blacklisted and can't be registered to my Amazon account. Thanks, Woot.
