I went with the Anivia 1080, $32-5%, rated better than the aukey by a number of sites and almost $10 cheaper.

The batch of logitech webcam sell out quickly but I ordered and received the 4 i order for my stubborn teachers. Ordered last Thurs or Fri and got yesterday. C270 very very meh but at least USB and logitech software to digital zoom. Can be shoved in the $7 mic stand to use as bad document cam and mount to cart and point at teachers height.

The Logitech C920S is $80 vs the under $30 above but very wide angle so can get more of room in when needed. Way way better auto focus and image so when I use as doc cam it it faster and clear. This has screw mount so can use with tripod or mic arm/boom easier. Privacy flip down plastic is Handy. Hunt and you can find the logitech. My c910 from zillion years ago still looks beautiful but sometimes disconnect random required replug but so old and was reliable

With these cheaper webcams, I keep getting burned on the mic. I'm always being told I sound like I'm in a box 60 feet away. Using one of these cheapos right now, which looks great, but using my ancient LifeCam HD-5000 as my mic because the sound quality is so terrible on the new one.
I have a Logitech on pre-order, which is supposed to come in next week, well see. In the meantime, if anyone has any info on how the sound is on the Aukey, I'd appreciate it.

FYI, some options on webcams. I have used both options ....

1) Some action cameras work like webcams... no software etc needed... the action camera I have is old but works..

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1

2) get a HDMI to USB converter and use any camera with HDMI output as webcam. no extra software needed...

I tried this, but the angle is too wide. Looks like I'm 20 feet away.

I had this camera for a bit. I had a hard time believing that it was actually 1080p (and not scaled up) as the video quality was so bad.

I got one of these for one of my kids. Picture is very wide-angle (almost uncomfortably so), and the colors are muted, but for 40 bucks in the middle of this supply crunch it's still a pretty good deal. Not sure about the mic performance, and my Logitech 900-series is clearly better, but again, 40 bucks.

I bought one of these for work and I'm not very happy with it. It's a lot more wide angle than I'd like for a work webcam.
Mine also has trouble adjusting to bright lights in the background and flickers a fair bit. There's also a greenish tint in low light. I've put up with it for a while now due to supply crunch, but looking forward to switching over to a nicer Logitech webcam when it arrives.
