I recently bought another SD sponsored so called Mfi certified cable but my phone frequently disconnects or says incompatible cable. Not worth it.

I bought a generic braided China lightning cable once and the lightning end fit really snug in the port. It was so snug that I was scared it would damage the port so I never used it. I've had to replace the charging port twice on iphones and it just wasn't worth the risk to me.

These probably don't do that, but not really in a hurry to get new cables. I was able to get a pretty good OEM (supposedly) one for $5-6 on ebay that's been working pretty well. And maybe if we're lucky Best Buy will do those $2 Dynex ones again. I regret only buying two when they used to come up often. Haven't seen them for a while.

I guess 5 for $8 you can't go too wrong, though several reviews have them breaking pretty quickly. As long as the lightning end doesn't get stuck in the port after it breaks off like in one of the pictures.

"I guess 5 for $8 you can't go too wrong" on what. the iphone? minimum price is about $400. another $10 one time cost for a decent monoprice cable is really worth it.

I would really recommend not buying "no name" cables. They can seriously ruin ur $1000 phone... if u have an expensive phone, u have enough money for name brand cables

This. Same thing for $3-5 cover/cases. I can't understand people buying a $800+ device and not protecting it with something like an Otterbox or gear4.

Because we all know plastic doesn't cost that much to manufacture so your money goes to their branding and advertising money, and some of those cases are just fugly.

Totally agree. And the price is cheap for 5 pack, I'll just try it out.

Been using MFi cables cheaper than these. No issues. It lasts as long or almost as long as official ones. I have one for Apple Car in my MDX for almost 3 years. Used the 6 ft and 10 ft for the living room. Cheap enough to toss without a second thought.
