All the pointless bickering aside, had $5 in gold coins, so paid $15. Great deal for what seems like a great game, from a great dev. Love Bastion.

They mean they can pirate it on PC so obviously there's no need to give money to the devs. "Nintendo tax" is just code for actually paying for the game for what it's worth.

How is it not a deal? The sale isn't permanent.
20% off at launch is a good deal on what'll probably be the best indie game released on Switch this year (I'd put Ori 2 in that category too, but not really sure it technically counts as an indie game). If you wanna wait a year for the price to maybe drop to $15, then by all means. supergiant is one of the best indie developers out there, w/ consistently excellent gameplay, graphics, & music, & if you don't understand why this is a deal, you must not have played any of their other games. We see great deals on shovelware crap games all the time on SD that aren't even worth the $1 cost of admission, so why are we crapping on a good deal for a great game? Not really a huge fan of rogue lites (w/ rogue legacy & dead cells being a few of the exceptions), but I already love this one

Got this on switch yesterday. Well worth the asking price, but glad to get the $5 off. Really well produced.

Gameplay very reminiscent of Bastion to me, but with the Rogue elements. I'd say anyone on the fence who hasn't played Bastion should buy that first and see how they like it, but it appears not to be 80% off at the moment like it seems to be half the time, so don't do that.

Do you think the controls transfer well from mouse/keyboard to console controller?
Haven't tried on switch, but on PC the game is mostly better with a controller.

I'm debating whether to get it for pc or switch. I wonder if mouse and keyboard would be more difficult.
Then use your switch or xbox controller on PC

Agreed, I'm buying based on previous games even though I generally don't like roguelikes with some rare exceptions (Children of Morta, Dead Cells).
I think if you like both of those then you'll like this just fine

I can't speak specifically for the Switch version, but this game absolutely exceeded all my expectations on PC and it seems like a great fit for the Switch. I have something like 250 hours of playtime and I still enjoy going back. Compared to some other recent hits in the genre like Binding of Isaac, Dead Cells, Slay the Spire (which are all great), I think Hades remains supreme. The artwork, dialogue, gameplay, music, even the storyline are superb. Supergiant has an amazing track record, but Hades easily takes the cake for their best game to date.

Basically, if you're a fan of action RPGs and/or Roguelikes, this is a must-have. I think it's worthy of a $60 price tag, so $20 is a steal... and I've only played early access.

*I swear I do not work for Supergiant, but masterpieces like this make me wish I did.

Supergiant is a great company. They deserve the patronage. Bastion. Transistor. Pyre. 😊
Forgot about Pyre - that needs to come to the switch
