I am looking to use this to replace my set of 2 27" Hp monitors . I use Mac and just use it for office work. Is this an overkill ?
No, I'd say it is absolutely not enough screen real estate, considering the resolution of your current screens combined. It's certainly a lovely way to condense desk space, but in terms of what will be displayable, you'll want a minimum of QuadHD UltraWide, if not 4K, to replace two screens.

Genuinely asking, what's the benefit of a monitor like this over a tv? I can get a much bigger 4k tv at this price.
A monitor like this? Not much honestly. The benefit of monitors is generally faster response time for mouse and gaming, but this thing looks a bit slow and low resolution, low refresh rate anyway. I doubt it's much better even for games. Might make for a decent work monitor, but I wouldn't trade my 1440p 144hz for this.

Dell have a Samsung 43" 4K TV for same price I was thinking of getting that and use it as my computer screen.

Resolution will not be fun. 34 needs minimum 1440p

Is that now the rule right there? Will it look hideous if it is not 1440 to the point that i wil get an eye strain and it will be unpleasant to work.

Linus Tech Tips does a review of this monitor I'm almost positive. If I recall the ghosting is noticeable

SPEAKER
Audio Output MaxxAudio 7Wx2
These speaker are not shabby.

Consider that the MSI GF65 THIN 9SEXR-249, heck most laptops, have 2W Speakers. With 3.5x the watts and MaxxAudio, these speakers are going to sound good to most people.

Integrated/Internal <> Crap.

Here we go again with the resolution. If you game you want this resolution unless you want to drop $1000 for a GPU that will drive the higher resolution... if you had $1000 for a gpu you would not be looking at this monitor Smilie

I have had this monitor since this COVID mess started & had to setup home office. If your looking to use this for simply work, this is more than enough. Love the LG OnScreen control software that allows you to split the screen digitally from 1-8 screen split. If u run many excel sheets or programs at a time this is very helpful. This isn't meant for the avid gamer or even video/ photo editor. It will do the job but don't expect the quality of a higher end monitor. And yes it has built in speakers, nothing out of this world. Enough to hear a Zoom call a bit louder than most laptops.
The stand only adjusts in height, does not adjust side to side or tilt.

Can you play games on it? Sure. Of course it's only 75mhz but it's a deal at a great price for some good specs. I've been looking at a lot of the monitor sales lately on SD and this one stands out.

If you need 4k for a specific reason, yeah, but I'd take 144hz 1440p over that TV any day, even though it'd have better colors. A 60hz TV + the internal delay is so sluggish even for working from home.

You don't want this for gaming. That resolution at that size is awful, and I'm not sure why it exists. I do 144hz/1440p 32' monitor, and it's not too hard to spot pixels, and they're obvious if you're looking for them. You'll 100% notice the pixels on this.
