No price on the post or title?

EDIT: I see why I was downvoted, but when this was first posted there was no price mentioned for any model. The range was added later by the OP.

There are 6 models so 6 different prices but the prices are between $552.49 - $875.49 after the discount.

I end up trading in my Tab S4 for $300 towards it plus $88 discount so paid only $490 (after tax) for the 128GB Plus model.

I've been waiting for another 12in android tablet for a while. Last one was the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 that came out in 2014 and sells for $300 - $500 for a used one. To get a much better spec'd one with current updates for $500 is the right price for me.

How's the app support? I cannot justify paying similar to an iPad pro with mediocre app support.

I have no problem on my Tab S4. I know people complain about Android apps on tablets but I have not experienced any issues.

I mainly use my tablet for videos (Youtube, Netflix, Hulu), browsing (Chrome) and working (selling apps and the like in Dex mode). I find no problems doing those on Samsung tablets. Other Android tablets I'm not a fan of in this regard but mainly due to their lack of specs that can handle such things.

I haven't gotten the Tab S7 yet (just shipped for me) but with a 2736 x 1824 resolution display, 6GB of RAM (8GB for other models) and running Android 10, I'm sure it will do more than fine compared to the Tab S4.

I have owned iPad Air 2 for 6 years now. Was looking for bigger tablet like the iPad Pro 12.9 inch. Is the s7 plus comparable to iPad Pro 12.9? I am hoping to get it for lot lower than iPad Pro 12.9 cost? Also don't see iPad Air 2 in the trade in options. Should I select iPad 9.7?

The pro 12.9 has a bigger screen, the galaxy has a better one (OLED).

Just looking at the specs, they are both essentially the same tablet. Tab S7 Plus has a higher capacity battery, 1MP more camera and weighs less.

iPad is slightly bigger, has a better 10 MP second camera and a better aspect ratio for it's resolution (though that depends on your preference).

Not too sure about that trade in. If you send the wrong device, they tend to keep it though you can request to have it returned. Not too sure on that process.

Educational discount is out there for a while, how this is a deal? Even after the discount prices are set high.
This is currently the lowest price for it either way. Seeing as it came out today, I'd say saving 10% off MSRP isn't a bad deal. Compared to the iPad Pro 12.9 that came out this year at $900, the same spec'd model S7 Plus at $722.49 (before cashback which should place it at $700), is a good $200 difference from the next similar tablet available.

I already have the iPad pro but wanted another tablet for family. I was thinking this or the iPad Pro. I have in the past compared to iPad pro (12.9) with the Tab S6, and the iPad was clearly much better in every way.
then why not get a 2nd ipad pro?

I'd recommend getting the model with either 256 or 512 GB storage, as it has 8 GB RAM. The 128 GB model only has 6 GB RAM. 6 GB is fine for most use cases, but the price difference between the 128 and the 256 isn't that big if you're eligible for the student or workplace discount, and IMO it's worth paying a little more to get something more future-proof.

The annoying thing is that it looks like the US 5G models are carrier-locked and limited to 128 GB storage, meaning if you want 5G, you're limited to 6 GB RAM. Other countries got 4G and 5G models with more storage. If I'm paying retail price for a device, why is it carrier locked??

I'm surprised they're fulfilling regular orders so quickly. I preordered the day preorders opened (September 2nd) and I'm still waiting for mine. Should be arriving next week.

I want that S7+ w/ 256GB storage for that extra 2GB RAM, but those prices are up there.

Nice thing about buying from Samsung is I can trade in my old phone with a cracked screen. Still turns out to about $714 for this tablet.
