You definitely shouldn't put these in the dishwasher. It will break vacuum seal and the ice/hot retention will deteriorate.
That's what I worried about too, and quickly realized I was willing to sacrifice whatever small amount of efficiency loss for the convenience of tossing these things in the washer. Air is a great insulator too.

You can get 6 pack for $50 on Amazon which is a better deal, making this not slick.
Surely you can appreciate the nuance of buying one for $10 vs six for $50?

I like RTIC's products, but the standard lids on these are poorly designed. Your nose will touch the lid when drinking.

Their lay flat lids are much better, but they're not included on most of their tumblers. Both lid types seal very well though.

Yeti advertises dishwasher safe for theirs. I have every brand and all are about the same, but I just recently started putting them all in the dishwasher with no problems.

Yep, it's always a 2 for 1 shopping trip with the Outlet mall and the RTIC store down the street from each other.
lol.. to call 290 a street is putting it lightly. one day, it will be complete.

Oddly enough it was thanks to Buc-ee's that I discovered Yukon branded tumblers. My set of RTICs had just gone in the trash after I found chipped paint from the rim of the cup in my pregnant wife's ice water. My Yukons are doing great. I won't by buying RTIC again. Edit: I bought direct from RTIC so they weren't fakes.
Yeah, I like the Yukon so far. And it's cheaper at Buc-ee's than on their official website. It was like that with RTIC too, when I first saw it, I thought of getting more off their site because I liked what it did and wasn't gonna pay for a Yeti, but $9.99 is an in store price. Can't complain I guess, can get a brisket sandwich while I'm there. May get a few more Yukon's when I hit Buc-ee's again.

As a coach, these are great gifts, or prizes/awards for the kids. I usually do a tumbler or a whataburger gift card for awards. Got my parents some way back, they finally started using them since they like their water warm now.

I had a problem finding a lid for the older RTIC tumbler and went to their store. They discontinued those and the associate recommended to get an Ozark Trail lid from Walmart. Fits like a charm and the lid doesn't hit my nose.

I've replaced my rtic lids with the yeti mag lids. Own both brands, but feel the yeti lids are better for now.

Really? I broke my lid on my 3ish year old ozark tumbler when it fell off my truck tailage going down the road at 10 mph when I got a speed bump. I forget what to the close was like but the yeti mag slide and lid quality is leaps and bounds better. I think I paid $10 for the lid and $5 for the tumbler.
Yes, I have cups with both lid types. You can see the lid in the pics.

mine seem already broken seal, u can see it sweating outside, ( i'm talking about 32, 64, 1 gallon insulated bottles) worst insulated products ive ever own, ,mean while the ozark trails from walmart never fail me.

I have this, the way the lid opens is awful.
When you open the lid for a quick sip the flap jams in your nose/face and leaves coffee behind.

I hate these.
The Yeti magnetic slide (or any slide design) is far superior.

These RTICs are just as good as Yeti as long as you don't put them in the dishwasher. That might matter to some but for $20-$30 cheaper, unless you have money to burn, these are a great alternative.
Wait, are the Yeti ones dishwasher safe? I have a couple and have been hand washing them since day one.

That said, I've always thought they were a ripoff. Received them as gifts. These RTICs are much more inline with what I think a mug like this is worth.
