This "headlight" is not bright enough to see adequately while riding. This is better than nothing, but you should get a quality light if you ride often. You pay for what you get.

Thanks OP. BTW, It worked for multiple orders placed from iOS app in rapid sequence.

Thanks. Made 5 separate orders for our 5 bikes. These will be perfect for rolling around our small town with street lights and can be seen by cars. Getting dark earlier and earlier now.

Dumb question from ignorant being:

Amazon asks "use your $8.39 promotional balance". I can choose to not use this "promotional balance"

Is this the 60% discount or an $8.39 credit that I already had in my account?

If it's the discount, then why does it ask me if I want to use it? Can I use the $8.39 on something else?

The wording seems so ambiguous for a discount to one specific product, but it's Amazon so there has to be a reason. I'd like to know the reason....

Sometimes the coupon does appear that way, just in case some people want to pay full price(?!) instead of using the discount. I have had that happen a few times on other promotions.

You could also try to get up a bit earlier, and still be in Texas. Ykwim?
Yea, get up earlier when it is more likely to be dark. Brilliant.

Thats valid, its probably enough to make street riding safe but for something like an unlit trail you will for sure need more light. Theres sa 30% off coupon on the actual flashlight style light https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1 which comes out to about $11 (includes a back light too)

I have these, I got them free from Vont on Facebook. They're not good at all to see, just to be seen. AMA

Shouldn't ride bike at night!
I mostly drive during night time, first because North Texas was awful hot during the day time hottest around evening between 4-7 PM.
Second, too many riders on the roads and trails.
So I started biking during night times on weekdays and day during weekends.
Bought two pairs for my kids bike, I have big one they are good, but these are good for my kids to be seen in blinking mode.

These are great, I've used them for more than two years on my daily bike commute to work.

One of the usb plug for recharging broke after a year or so, this is mostly my fault because I'm very rough when attaching the usb cable (always get it in the wrong direction at first). I took it apart and removed the damaged usb plug and soldered two wires sticking out so I could still recharge it. Still works great now.

The light is plenty bright, I usually have it on the flashing setting, when stopped at a red light at night, the traffic signs above will flash with the light.

These look just like a Lezyne set I've had for years that are great. Hopefully these are just as good, but at this price I'll give them a try

What? Oh... you mean in Texas... cause you get more hours of sunlight than, say, the rest of the United States.

As a heads up, there are people who live in states north of Texas. We have this thing called "winter solstice". It's usually on December 21st. For a month before and a month after the sun is not up on our way to work, or on the way home.

So, a couple lights on your bike go a long way if you, you know, choose to bike instead of driving.

In for 2, thanks OP.
Don't worry, people don't understand North Texas weather, we could have freezing cold in the morning with some snow, to sunny and cool afternoon and in the same day rains in the evening, all four weathers in a day.
BTW, on a side note, please stop moving to Texas, my beautiful state is already ruined because of Northerners, mostly East and West coast, no offense.

I have these. They're obviously from AliExpress cause many sellers sel them. For $5 bucks they're worth a shot. The white light is useless but the red is better than nothing on your seat.

Really, like many have posted above, there are some nice real flashlights with mounts for a bit more money, but they offer a lot more. Can be used just as a flash light if needed.
This for example:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1
For $18 you get a pair of flash lights with 18650 batteries and a pair or tail lights, so it's $9 per set, only $4 more than OP. Clip a $8 coupon on the page.
I bet there are other deals like this too.
