TiVo sent me an email about a $50 off deal for a ChannelMaster outdoor TV antenna. Regular price is $89. With the coupon code TIVO the sell price is $39. Free shipping and no tax in NJ.
Per website :

The ULTRAtenna is a 4-bay, phased array, multi-directional outdoor antenna that receives high definition and digital signals from a span of 180 degrees. This antenna has a reception range of up to 60 miles.

Price is $89 elsewhere (Amazon, Walmart, etc)
Good deal for cord cutters like me.

Great price, I use this in the attic for stations ~20 miles away. Full power stations are 100% signal.
Just saying for 20 mi...tin foil and coat hanger work at that distance.

I personally need something more directional, a small yagi will pull in farther stations than this.

Does anyone know if this could use the same stuff a typical sateite dish (dish network) would use. I have an amplifier for that in my attic - wonder if would just plug and play
The satellite hardware is different from what something like this would use

I'm ~50 miles northwest of chicago. Is 60miles maximum on this antenna capable of getting me reception for all local channels or is this basically "ideal - flat earth" type of scenario?

does this provide better or more channels available from pluto.tv . I got like so many antenna's and none got me good number of local channels though... seems like for that at least this might be helpful?

Anyone who already have it can please comment how many HD channels it catches if rightly placed and far or close the main tower needs to be so this antenna can catch good number of channels.

TIA

Tons of variables. I lived 3 miles away from VHF towers but below a hill and homes that impeded the path. Couldn't get those channels for the life of me.

You can use the same wiring already in place if that's what you are asking. Just disconnect the dish and plug this antenna in its place.

Great deal. I am stuck with cable for a 2yr contract so don't need it right now. For this price, will keep one around for later time. Thanks

check out the reviews. the good ones all use the same style of writing and people have names like 'joe.'
lots of folks report crappy construction with this antenna.
