It purifies all year round, quickly heats the whole room in winter and keeps you cool as a fan in summer. As a purifier, it removes 99.97% of allergens as small as 0.3 microns from your home.

I have this, I liked it because it's a combination space heater and air filter. I have to say, I'm not terribly satisfied with it. I have other HEPA purifiers in the house that are the regular big rectangle style and they are silent. This thing makes a high pitched sound that you can hear even on settings as low as 2 or 3 (out of I think 9).

Also the biggest bummer- I bought this hoping I could set the thermostat on it to something low, like 65 or 66, and just leave it on "heat" all winter long, so that it only kicks the heat on when the room temp drops below that temperature. NOPE. Heat mode is limited to 8 hours even if it's not actively producing heat.

For my use case (24/7/365 air filtration plus being able to leave thermostat on all winter), I'm better off buying a regular HEPA purifier and a $15 space heater with a mechanical thermostat.

Tempted. not a jaw dropping deal. How are the refurbished model usually from Dyson? I have heard some nightmarish stories about their vacuums.

The OEM ones are rated for like 3000 hrs or something, so it'll be awhile before you need another one, depending on use obviously.

I have bought dyson refurb fans and they come looking used. Have dings but work perfect. I was fine with it considering the savings

Pulled the trigger when this was $10 more of eBay from the Dyson Outlet. Purchased a refurbished vacuum from them before over a year a ago, no issues. Filters can be found for $15 from a third party on Amazon & eBay or $70 from Dyson

How is it different from other hp01 models? Its model number is 311383-02 whereas others have 311383-01.
