Premier is OOS.

They're not making any more bits, boys and girls. Get 'em while you can!

I ended up getting the Premier retail boxed version under the same deal for $36.99 (vs. $31.99). I already have another code from a prior deal waiting to extend my subscription when I get within 6 months. I'm hoping the codes in the retail boxes will still be good for activation beyond 2 years.

If your ordering download--might want to ship to a state that doesn't tax software--Maybe Oregon--I've used MD in the past but not sure if it's still working.

If you have a current one--I think you can allow it to expire---wait 30 or more days and then set up the new one and download the previous months--also depends on your bank and how many previous months they allow you to download. The advantage of doing it this way--is getting a few more months out of Quicken downloads.

I did this last year--and it worked fine. I think I was 2 or more months with an expired one and was going to enter them manually and decided to upgrade when I found it cheap on Ebay. The days of finding it cheap on Ebay are over.

I've been using Home and Business for years and really like it. Challenge is it's expensive and I really don't need it anymore--but ---if you downgrade then you will lose some of your files. The other ones only allow 1 file--I have some of my previous years in other files to keep the current file smaller and it also allows you to have different categories.

At this point my preference would be to go with Quicken Deluxe or Premier only because of renewal cost.

What is the difference between Quicken and Quickbooks? I just started working as a 1099 and need something to manage my taxes and junk.

You should be fine with Quicken. It's easier then Quickbooks.

If your getting 1099's then Deluxe or Premier should be fine---If you need to invoice customers--then you might be better off with Quicken Home and Business.

You can use Quicken Deluxe or Premier for personal and business at the same time--just set up your categories different.

If your business is ABC then you could put your categories as ABC:supplies, ABC mileage, etc. When you do a report you can specify everything for ABC and you will have all your business items together.

I'm using Quicken Home and Business 2013 still. Everything seems to work except those few special, pre-built, reports for the last few years. Those can be generated using the normal reporting entries.
Why would someone get a newer version?

I'm still on 2016, had to download a few patches to make it work in offline mode. I wonder how long I can make it last.

Quicken really annoyed me when they switched to subscription model and I stayed away from all Intuit product now.
Yeah. Quicken really has gone far downhill. Have you found a good alternative?
Do you just DL from each credit card / bank individually and import?

Same boat here... Only have 3 weeks left for extension Frown

only if you do ebay used etc. IMO Debating if I should switch to Creditkarma or any of the freebies. Any of them come close to TT Premier?

ONE bonus--if you have a refund coming--IRS must pay you interest. Smilie.

I've been using Freetaxusa dot com and it's easy to use and seems to be very accurate and FREE for business forms.

If you choose to order Quicken--you might be able to go back for all of 2019 and download all your bank transactions-- it will depend on your bank. Seems downloading statements to Quicken on some back websites will work for the complete year.

Ah ... I like to manually enter everything so I absolutely KNOW where the money is going and how many investments are growing. For me, too much automation means that convenience often overrides direct knowledge. I get lazy and don't pay attention to blowing $100 on a bar bill or some other less than great expense. I learned that a few decades ago when my job earnings were huge and I wasn't paying attention to expenses. Perhaps it is just me.
The stock price downloads are really the only online things I'd miss. Those still work.

Quicken isn't owned by Intuit anymore. Intuit sold Quicken several years ago before it went to online subscription.

I'm not sure how Quickbooks is working but it's still owned by Intuit.
