Let's be honest who is buying this for Halloween? With Covid we all have been sneaking a few more bites of chocolate lately...

I wonder if parents are going to spray disinfectant on these treats after kids get them trick or treating. 🎃🤔
No need. They just have to lock them somewhere for a couple of days till any potential virus dies out

They really shouldn't brave it... I have kids and I don't plan to participate this year. Just don't want to be part of problem.
All of the schools are back to in person here and most of the population is carrying on like covid doesn't exist, much to my dismay, so I'm just adapting this year. I usually do an honor system bowl out front, but I'm going for treat bags on a table out front this year, so it's possible to social distance and I don't have to expose anyone in my household. The community I'm in had 200+ trick or treaters last year with the power out and in the rain.

Up to three months in freezers! Think about the meat packing places and ski resorts.
Under room temperature is up to three days.
I've got a restaurant super freezer in my garage, that gets to -60C. Fish will stay fresh in it for years, as well as any virus to my choosing!

Regardless of what you "believe" kids will be out there.
You should read the post you replied to. The OP never 'believed' anything. They just said they shouldn't brave it. No one has said there'd not be any 'kids' out there. After all, those college 'kids' who partaked in the Tide Pod challenges may have reproduced by now.

Here we go again...another Halloween thread with the left vs the right. It's simple people...if you don't want to participate in Halloween this year, stay home with your kids and turn your porch lights off. The rest of us that still want to enjoy a little something this year will go to the houses that are obviously still celebrating trick-or-treating. Was that complicated now???

I feel for the cities that are straight up cancelling trick-or-treating. Glad I'm not located there.

This is so farked up.

Trick or treating is more about socialization than anything else. You're socializing your kids into paranoid narcissists.
It's more about teaching the kids not being selfish and self centered.

Clearance will be huge this year. Not a lot of people will buy candies. I'll wait for 80/90% off Wink we're talking about deals here not politics
