Neither my kids will go for trick or treat nor we would encourage others. Don't wanna be part of the problem.
If you wanna be part of the solution, you could wear a hazmat "costume" and go steal all the candy from the big bowls your elderly neighbors are leaving out.

Not joking, a handful of people doing this could really save lives.

PS don't eat all the candy, you'll get diabetus.

Looks like it's a limit of four bags so I'm just getting for 1599 bags for the best value. The reason Butterfinger bag is cheaper is because most people don't want them
Sacrilege! Butterfinger is great. You must've been that kid who's favorite candy was tootsie rolls. Wink

We're doing in-home trick or treating for our kids this year. Just have them walk around and knock on each door in our house for a piece of candy
That is farking depressing

Halloween was canceled in my city
Practically speaking, how is Halloween cancelled in your city? Trick or treating has never been an official event anywhere I've lived. Regardless if you support it or don't, I'm curious how this would be enforced?

Here we go again...another Halloween thread with the left vs the right. It's simple people...if you don't want to participate in Halloween this year, stay home with your kids and turn your porch lights off. The rest of us that still want to enjoy a little something this year will go to the houses that are obviously still celebrating trick-or-treating. Was that complicated now???

I feel for the cities that are straight up cancelling trick-or-treating. Glad I'm not located there.
The virus doesn't work like this. The more people that get it, the more it spreads. So, yes, we can do our own thing while you all expose yourselves to the virus. But then more people have the virus so it becomes harder for us to avoid when we have to go out in public. So your behavior does affect the rest of us.

I'm pretty sure I got it for 40% off at Target last year. Does anyone remember if that's an annual thing?

I think we're going to trick our treat but only get candy at houses with candy bowls outside. What's the big deal?

I feel bad for some of you just locked in your house for the past 7 months

I love Halloween, the older I get the more it grows on me living in Michigan with the fall colors and pumpkin patches. We love the build up and decorating for the holidays. The day itself has been kind of blah nothing like when I was I kid. Most of the foot traffic is from bussed in kids. Covid has gotten our family nervous and it's easy to get caught up in political beliefs and hard sometimes to be patient with with everyone's personal covid comfort zones. We personally are going to carry on and buy the candy to eat and share support to the manufactures that make our treats, while keeping our porch light off. Sorry bussed in kids
