So I currently have an unlocked Pixel 3 on Verizon prepaid (6 GB/mo for $35) and tether often.

Looks like I'd lose the ability to tether on Verizon (CDMA) but could tether on ATT and Tmobile's networks so maybe it'd be okay in most areas? No idea how that works if my phone is currently on a Verizon tower when I try to tether. I imagine it could be a problem though?

T mobile slows you down to a crawl after low amount of usage
And also slows down your phone until end month

They send you a text to say they will not slow the phone but they do

I came from Net10 (on Verizon towers) and switched to RedPocket a few months on the same Verizon towers. Call quality has become absolutely horrible and get disconnected VERY frequently. This occurs about 50% of the time which is extremely frustrating especially since I use this for my work. Visual voicemail is an added monthly fee that was included with Net10's pricing. We're stuck with them for another 9-10 months, but once that is over I'm switching out immediately.
I use Total Wireless (verizon towers) and daughter uses Verizon post paid. We did two tests at my house using Speed Test app and my TW phone was consistently in the 110-140mbps vs her iPhone 10 on Verizon pulled 80mbps max. Why would that be? I used my Moto Z3.

Also transferred from Mint to RPM. RPM has been more reliable for may staying connected than Mint.

I should probably get the higher data plan.

Currently in the $15/month for 2GB plan.

Thier AT&T service is very deprioritized and it can take up to two weeks for VoLTE to provision.

For this price you can get HelloMobile. It uses Tmobile network only now, no more Sprint.
HelloMobile has very bad reviews.

it does not matter. Most reviews are from incapable users. If you know what you are doing you can save a lot.

Yes, immediately. . . after 10 months.LMAO
My wife must have Verizon, I have been considering RP, but this concerns me.
Any idea why? What phone are you using? Could it be CDMA vs VoLTE or some APN issue?
I wish it was sooner!

I haven't done more testing on it. As a bandage for the time being I set up a Google Voice number for all my calls as a workaround.

I use a Google Pixel 3XL. I'll be reaching out to them this week to see if they are able to fix it

Left mint for red pocket last year. Regret.

Random no service every few months as they did not recharge my plan. They need to do this on monthly basis and they miss once in a while.
thanks for the feedback! I'm on Mint for 8 months now and have been pretty happy with the cell service (not the CS tho).

Been a redpocket customer for the last 1.5 years. I found it better than Mint.
Interesting. Which of the cell carriers did you get through red pocket? What makes it better than Mint? I'm currently on Mint and am coming up on renewal and I wanna see if there is something better out there..

I have RP GSMA (AT&T) right now and you seem right on this. Sending out a simple text via iMessage can take a minute or two to be delivered and it's VERY annoying.

Went with ATT. I already have Verizon on another phone. When I was with Mint, I had terrible reception and calls dropped. Also, signing up on an annual plan, I don't have to worry about renewing each month.

By comparison ATT prepaid has an 8gb plan with rollover for 300 a year. Glad to see more options but it looks like this is just a limited offer. It's not the new standard offering

Also have to factor in that at&t prepaid is straight from the source, persay. Last time I tried redpocket gsma (at&t) the service was awful. Delayed texts, crap reception overall, no wifi calling.. won't try again.

to be clear, at&t prepaid (paying att directly) is amazing in my house. 50MB\sec down (compared to 5 max with RP), wifi calling works, never issues sending or receiving messages).

Interesting. I don't have issues with reception or calls dropped. I'm on the 12 month Mint plan so I only have to renew every 12 months. Thanks for the feedback
