Hey no problem. I know how it is, the latest and greatest is always fun. However having wasted a lot of money on tech in the last few years, I can tell you more often than not, the 'high' wears off quick. It's fun to see that first benchmark but every time after, you are sitting there realizing you spent more money than necessary and can't even tell the difference. Take care

1660 TBW on the black label Sabrent

While the black label costs more it may be worth it in the long run depending on how its used (main drive vs. data drive)

Very good pricing on Sabrent Gen4, which have performed well in most of the benchmarks I have seen compared to other drives. However, I am personally going to wait for benchmarking of the Samsung 980 series when that launches - it's rumored to blow these speeds out of the water.

Yes but the $$price$$ will blow a hole in consumers wallets for being the fastest out there in typical samsung $$$tyle
btw, these price cuts are about where prices were last year.. they don't represent a bigger cut over last year.. more of a match.

Anyone know how the Sabrent Rocket (not Q version) compares with XPG SX8200? I can find comparisons of the Q version but not the faster one. Primary use for me is gaming.

Don't know. Sony said to hold off on buying SSD's for the PS5 until they release the list

Several things:
1. If you wanna use the USB versions as external drive to install Windows (boot camp) on a Mac, don't. So far I only had luck with Realtek controllers. Sabrent does not use Realtek.
2. Thunderbolt is great, no compatibility issue whatsoever as long as you have a thunderbolt connector, but you'd better off with an OWC Envoy Express. Super solid enclosure at only $79. The prices of these sabrent thunderbolt drives are insane.
3. macOS has no TRIM support on USB drives regardless of the controller, so if you want TRIM to avoid slowdown, go with thunderbolt.
