Yes great price, but 34 is too big for that resolution and gaming. Thats like a 1080p 27 incher which is pretty rough gaming wise.

Wow great deal! 1080p is not a deal breaker for a lot of people and is even an advantage for people with bad sight. For those that don't know, this is ultrawide so the 34" is really a regular 27" but with extended horizontal space.

That's not correct. It's closer to a 24", height-wise, depending on a comparable bezel, which is very acceptable. I have one and it's totally awesome for gaming!

Hey man, at least I'm providing useful information. I don't like when people troll threads and provide no useful insight. It doesn't help anybody and it's a waste of space. This is a solid gaming monitor with excellent specs for the price. It looks great with games and I've had three friends say the same thing about this specific model. Everyone I know that has one absolutely loves theirs!

It's not though — a 34" 21:9 monitor is exactly equivalent in size/physical dimension to a 27" 16:9 monitor.

That being said, I used a 27" 16:9 1080 for gaming (144hz) and it is completely acceptable. Now, obviously most people would want 1440p at that size, but if you don't have a graphics card or PC that can push out 1440p 144hz gaming, then taking a step back to 1080p 144hz gaming would be an acceptable compromise.

Realistically, how much screen real estate do you need? Like, what type of programs are you using? Personally, I prefer this as my gaming monitor because FHD UltraWide is not too taxing on modern hardware and my frame rates are awesome! However this is the minimum resolution I'd use for work. It's nice to have the extra width for my animation toolbars so I still have plenty of room for 3D views, but QHD UltraWide is more ideal for work.
