Good deal as long as the timings are decent, and it looks like 19-19-19-39 which is not bad at all.

Same deal every week. It goes between $115 and $150.

Cheapest Samsung-B die you can get. For AMD you want to run it at 3800 to match 1900Mhz FCLK. Set the timings to 14-16-16-27-40 T1 @1.5v (Gear Down Enabled).

For Intel just enable XMP and leave it at 4400. If you got crap motherboard or CPU with horrible memory controller, either do the same as AMD or 4000 CL15.

Will it matter less for the newer 8 core, single die, ryzens coming out? Obviously more cores such threadripper will have two cores, and pass through the infinity fabric, and I suppose run through the memory.

Well I guess I should have been more clear. Ryzen Gen1 can only do 1600MHz, Gen 2 1800Mhz and Gen 3 (Current) 1900Mhz.

The amount of does doesn't matter as they all go through the same Infinity Fabric and what generation it is. Of course if you have Threadripper than its Quad channel which is harder on the controller so usually lower FCLK.

TR3 is actually pretty decent as far as the IMC goes. I've got a 3970x running 1700 fclk with memory at 3400mhz at 128gb density. That is insane!
