Legion is a better option. 8 Gb more. This one has a pretty bad keyboard. Very flimsy and weird layout. Also the sharp edge on the palmrest is a pain to use. The Legion tho is a bit heavier. This one isn't thin to begin with so the weight doesn't matter that much to me.
Agreed. I think the Legion deal is a better buy here.

11th gen Intel processors are promising the bigger jumps in performance in many years. Might be better to hold off until a refresh. Runs much cooler too.

I was loving the OMENs over the last few years but no numpad kills it for me.

I'm currently using a desktop that was initially built in 2011 or 2012. Phenom II 965, HD6850, 8 GB RAM and an older SSD. I haven't bought a game since Diablo III. The years as a stay at home dad of six year old twins really limited my gaming time.

But, now that Star Wars Squadrons is coming out, I'm gonna need a new computer. I decided on a laptop, so I've been looking at gaming ones for a while now. This checks all the boxes, but being a greedy and cheap guy, I just wish it had a 2060 in there. Then again, it might bot make a difference at all in actual use for me.

How does it compare to the MSI GL75 that is on sale at Costco? Is HP OMEN much better than MSI in most aspects? A bit concerned with only 8GB memory

From what i understand, the Ryzen 4800h is way better than the Intel on the GL75. If you dont need the extra cores, than the Intel would be fine. Costco warranty can't be beat too.

I still prefer Ryzen tho. Intel chip is a scam.

Not true. AMD 4th gen mobile will out perform 11th gen intel mobile any day.
