Nope! A lot of reviewers have stated that it has some of the best thermals for gaming laptops.

I tried both and liked Omen both are almost same other than Omen is lighter & color keyboard backlight than Lenovo. I could not resist Omen as I got 1TB 16gb open box at steal price of $960 and 5% credit card cashback from usa bank, during last time deal!
Is it possible to run just the integrated graphics on these laptops to save battery life during office work? Or is there a driver conflict since you'd have to install both?

There's no mux switch, so changing Optimus around will need to be done through software. Most reviewers have noted that the Omen 15 2020 has pretty good battery life. Jarrod's Tech rated it at 493 minutes when watching Youtube at 50% brightness and the keyboard light off.

Wish it had a numberpad! Open box excellent for $850
I hate number pads. They take away extra space that can otherwise make the keyboard more spacious.. why do you need the numberpad?

I was loving the OMENs over the last few years but no numpad kills it for me.
Why Num pad?

Because occasionally I need to do some actual work on my laptop and it's a really nice feature to have especially if the laptop is 15" or larger.

Not true. AMD 4th gen mobile will out perform 11th gen intel mobile any day.
Not in gaming, which is what a gaming laptop is for.

This is much better, with continuous 40% cpu usage I see around 60 deg F

I've looked over the various documentation. Is there not a second drive bay? I know I can replace the main drive, but was hoping for a second bay.

You're right that there isn't a bay for an additional 2.5" drive, but there are two m.2 slots.

I was using the term "drive bay" to mean any drive, be it a 2.5 bay or an m.2 slot. I finally got around to watching a review on YouTube and heard him mention the second slot as well. Thanks!

Is there any reason to go with the "Open-Box Excellent - Certified" over just the "Open-Box Excellent"?
I have tried both "Open-Box Excellent" and "Open-Box Excellent-Certified". The regular Excellent was actually in better condition than the certified. Best Buy claims that the certified is "professionally cleaned" which in my case meant someone sprayed and wiped the screen and left streaks everywhere.

I guess you don't use numbers to much... I use my number pad daily.
