Honestly as a nurse, I would say the O2 monitoring is useless unless you have pulmonary or cardiac issues or are at risk for or have sleep apnea. For everyone else, it's a cool little gimmick with little value to your everyday life.
It could also possibly help detecting early signs of COVID-19. Many patients do experience lower levels before any symptoms are presented clinically.
But, more than all of these, my issue is with possibly inaccurate readings. The AW6 measures reflection of light on the wrist. The watch would need to stay fixed pretty well for a lot longer to get a dependable reading compared to standard oximeters. The fingertips have a lot more capillaries for light to shine through, providing better accuracy from measuring the absorption of light by the blood.
