Hard-wired, no battery. Which is great! My Ring Battery lasted a week and I had to spend $15 on a transformer.

Hardwire required: 16V-24V AC, ≥10VA

Capture visitors with 12-second videos and stores them in the cloud for rolling 14 days for free. If you don't pay Ring - you get nothing.

Ships January 2021

Check your garage or closets. My moms house had the transformer in the hall closet hidden on top. Use a flash light.
Good idea about the hall closet. I'll check one -- it is directly behind the chime in wall. Thanks.

Why do people want wireless battery doorbells so bad? Almost all houses come with doorbell wiring and it's not difficult to upgrade your transformer if you have a really old house. Battery powered cameras have down sides because they use PIR sensor so anything has a heat signature would set it off.
Old houses with no transformer, houses with built on slab or with crawlspace only, rentals etc. I get it hardwired doorbells are better, but it's not an option for some people.

No local storage (SD card) means that you have to pay for Cam Plus (currently $1.99/month) to get the full-length video.

They realized that selling inexpensive hardware as a way to make money doesn't work longterm, and they're trying to get into the subscription model. Early adopters naturally see this as a money grab and don't appreciate it, especially when Wyze is taking away features that used to be free and add them to their paid plans.

If these have the same reliability as their cameras, you will be disappointed. I have a few and none are reliable.
I have 6 and all work great. It's you

Not even going to consider. Switched all my wyze cams to the 2k eufy, plus eufy 2k wired doorbell. Free recording, free person detection, to name two things. Wyze has literally NOTHING over eufy

Wonder if they will ever be able to push video to echo show on a button press.
Judging from the current Alexa and Google Assistant integration and the efforts to improve their current systems, don't hold your breath!

I just installed the Eufy 2K doorbell. Wonder if this is worth it....
return it ASAP. you will thank me. I sold mine off ebay with not bad price, and purchase ring doorbell pro.
the fact that Eufy is heavly depend of their server, which when they have issue with their server you won't see any video nor notification.
their homebase is also Joke. any detection & stream will go to their server and back to homeback for store. meaning, if their server is down, homebase is complete garbage.
Ring also did have moment where they had issue with server, but unlike Eufy (Anker, their pretty reliable company but chinese company) Ring is american brand and they now use AWS (Amazon cloud service). Unless Amazon go bankrupt, ring server will stay up and secure.

Seems like the world is being divided into wyze haters or lovers... I for one have three wyze indoor cams and one external cam and never had any problems with reliability and the products work flawlessly as advertised.

The wired doorbell doesn't need a homebase (since you are talking about the wired Ring Pro). Most doorbells are useless without internet connections though, specially cloud depended doorbells like Ring. While Amazon servers will stay up there's nothing stopping them from charging more for the cloud service and you are screwed without subscription.

I like Wyze a lot, have their cube and pan cams. Also the cool BT scale. I want their activity tracker wristband now. They are really cranking out products, the emails showed headphones and thermostat on the way. Good software updates. Their facemasks are pretty decent but they substitute different brands.

How's your experience with the Eufy cameras compared to Wyze? I have 4 Wyze cameras that are not reliable and 2 brand new in the box that I'd love to unload for something that works.
