Cynch New Propane Grill Tanks Home Delivery Service - $10 first order (limited area)

Cynch is a new home delivery service powered by AmeriGas. They will deliver 15lb propane grill tank (exchange) to your front door for $20, but if you use code: GRILLING10 you get your first delivery for $10. Follow the link below to order:
https://try.cynch.com/grilling10?

It's limited delivery area right now, but it's available in my area (Bay Area).

Even at $19.99 regular price it's still a pretty good consider you don't have to lug around a tank.

How it works:
Check your address
Select your tank; exchange ($19.99) or new ($49.99)
Schedule delivery (Tuesday or Friday in my area)
Leave your tank outside by 7am the morning of delivery
They drop off the filled tank and pickup your empty tank
That's it! You don't even need to be home

I just ordered my first exchange for $10 bucks. It was pretty easy.

From their site:
Can I exchange a tank from another provider (e.g. Blue Rhino)?
Yes, it just has to be any standard grill-sized tank in good working condition. If you don't have an empty tank to exchange, you'll need to order a spare tank from us.

What a bummer! Cynch is not available in your area [Central California]

There is no listing of locations on their website. News articles mention they are a Philadelphia company that recently expanded to Houston. The OP may want to give more specific information where the service is likely to be available so SDers all over the country not in the service area don't all find out they are nowhere in a service area.

Used it a few months ago. Was very happy. Left my old tank out and they took that and put the new one. This was outside Philly.

I use the same service from Propane Taxi that is also from Amerigas and uses the same promo code. I got my first exchange for $5 using that code + ordering from the mobile app ($3 off) and no rush delivery ($2 off)

For reference the no rush delivery took 3 weeks, I have two tanks so it wasn't an issue

Maybe worth it to somebody who doesn't have a refill center nearby and is fine with not getting a full cylinder. I'll still drive a few miles to U-Haul to get all mine refilled and not pay for any air.

Anyone know how much money they make from selling all your addresses? Zip code would have been enough to see if your area was in their delivery zone to sign up.

That's about it. The exchange places don't fill tanks the whole way but you pay for it and then some. I don't have an issue with it, so long as you know you're getting at most more like 15 lb rather than 20lb, at a super inflated price.

To give you an idea, a local farm place will fill 20 lb for $10 ($0.50/lb) [and yes they do give you 20 lb, you stand right there while they fill it on a scale]. Lowe's exchange (Blue Rhino) is more like $20 for 15 lb ($1.33/lb). And no, it's not "for safety"; a "20lb" tank is designed with extra space to actually hold a true 20 lb.

Now we have a family fried that works for AmeriGas and get our 20lb tanks swapped for $7.

I have no idea where the service is likely available. I don't work for them. It was an FB post that I saw and thought it's a good deal. That is also why I put limited area in the title and added the check address in my first step. If anyone has their service area, please share.

I always have two tanks on hand. Getting both filled at uhaul is like $12, with the second tank only needing partial filling. Does this service charge $20/tank even if you're getting multiples in one trip? If the difference is $12 vs $40 for two tanks, it's not really worth it if you have multiple tanks.

I've seen this kind of question before, so you've peaked my interest.

What value is there in buying an address if it's not associated to a person/contact info/demographic? I assume marketers would find the same value in throwing a dart at a phone book.

I'm not trying to be a snarky, it's a sincere question.

It's not worth it for you. Where I am, the local refill facility requires min. 15 lbs per refill, so it comes out to be $18, and local Walmart charges $17 for the exchange. For me, it's worth it because of the convenience and time.

I used them in South Florida. Great experience.
Always such a pain to do at HomeDepot, leave it outside, go find someone with a key to the cage, and so on.
