Got this last time it was a Slickdeal. Was a little nervous since I never heard of Gshopper but was impressed. Band came in 5 days and I love it.

Is it really waterproof?

I too was impressed with the delivery time of Gshopper. I think the mi band 4 for $15 is incredible.

I ONLY take it off to charge it. So I shower with on and have never had a problem with it. I also had the 4th version and same thing. I don't swim but it has been submerged in water while boating. It's actually made to wear while you swim as "Pool Swimming" is one of the exercises it specifically tracks.

I got a $15 Mi Band 4 from the same site a week ago and can confirm that everything went well. Nice band too, especially for the money, so I can only assume 5 is even nicer.

Battery life is better on the 4. With the 4 I was getting around 20 days, with the 5 about 15. But I do like the slightly larger screen on the 5. That's about the only difference for me.

Ordered the 4 last week from gshopper with the $15 deal. Great unit for the price and it came from amazon really quick. I'm sure the 5 is also great, the app it uses, mii fit is good also.

Can this connect with the Samsung health app? Or does it have its own health app?

Bought one for myself a few weeks ago to replace a constantly locking FitBit Inspire HR. I paid $45 for it on Amazon and was really impressed -- so much so that I bought one for my wife too. She also enjoys it. Battery life also seems pretty good -- a week or more at least per charge.

As a caveat, I have never had a super premium smart watch. But relative to the various ~$100 FitBits I have owned, this one is much, much nicer.

If you're in the market for something like this, at $30 it's a no-brainer.

Do this...

Mi fit > Google Fit > S Health

Samsung phones have a pedometer or whatever built in, and can track steps without a watch. The Galaxy 8 series had a blood oxygen and HR sensor.

Do notifications actually work on this model? As in, you can see texts and emails coming in (not necessarily replying to them from the watch), and music can be controlled, too?

I got the 3, and it's waterproof. So 5 is waterproof.
