Man their accessories are expensive! $100 for the personal cup adapter?! Might as well spend $66 more and get the S50 reconditioned which is designed for the personal cup and comes with one. But what do I need a second Vitamix for?!
I got a Vitamix about 10 years ago and it still works like new...I love this brand! They make super high quality products

Is there a big difference in performance between any of these?

I like making margaritas, sauces, and I grind spices sometimes.

There sure is (especially the S-50). You can get a great idea of how they all compare here: https://gotgreensrevolution.com/v...son-guide/

$499 is a good price for the A3500 in Black Stainless. I think Black Stainless is the only color on sale for the A3500. Black Stainless is hard to find, generally, and I believe was a Limited Edition color that cost more than the other colors at full retail ($649). Ordered one and hope it's a keeper!

Any of those on sale are good choices except the S-50 - it is great for something compact but it just doesn't have the power of the others.

A cheaper kitchen-aid if you really don't notice the difference. I would use a cheap coffee grinder or mortar and pestle for spice grinder to not gunk up flavors of whatever you put in there next.

Thanks so much OP! I was looking to get the 5200. Not the lowest price in recent history (~$260), but those were the model in Black. I like that it's the stainless version on sale!
