I used to only use anker cables but have recently switched to aukey and so far aukey is much better. I have a pile of about 50 broken/unusable anker cables, everything from braided to powerline, all of my anker cables fail at some point.
I used to like Anker cables as well. But when one failed I found out they have a one year warranty. I now stay away from them. When I let Monoprice know a cable failed they took care of me. I'd be interested to know other manufacturers that stand behind their cables.

There's tons of reports they're not including bricks at all with their new products, where'd you get this from?
the brick might not be included, but they are still going to release a new one (apparently).

Do you have a source? I've been keeping up with my usual rumor mills and this is the first time I've ever read something like that.

The block will most likely not be included with the new iPhones. I don't think anything will change in terms of the "new standard", since the Anker cables are capable of fast charging.

I guess you never explicitly stated that the new block would be included in your original post, but thanks for providing the source Wave

I bought this previously. It lasted exactly a year! That's the lifespan with regular use. I will not buy this again. Be warned!

I have 2 of these already but since everyone in my house takes my chargers, one can never have too many, right? No issues with either cable to far but the 6ft Apple cable I use at night keeps popping the "accessory not supported" message.

I think cables deteriorating are just a fact of life these days. Some last longer than others. The only reason to buy an Apple cable is if you have AppleCare and can get Apple to replace it (which is crazy hard right now given that no Apple stores are open in my area).

I also had Anker cables split at lightning end. Anker's lightning end is a 2 piece design.

Per your suggestion, I looked at Aukey and their 1 piece design at the connectors seems sturdier from the pic.

Bought this 2-pack from Amazon instead. Cheaper per cable at $19 for 2. Longer at 6.6ft. Braided nylon. Colored so I can easily get the USB-C PD lightning connector from the maze of 4-5 white connectors Applause

I've seen a lot of these at Fry's electronics for much less. I haven't tried them all, but the ones I do have are pretty good for 4.99, which is the average price at the store near me in Los Angeles.

The Aukey black braided one is nicer and longer and the same regular price.

I tried this one and it's too thick and super stiff, didn't like it.
