How are the Klipsch R-625FA for music in a 2.0 setup?
I bought this set up last year. The 625fa do not have the greatest bass. I would not recommend them in 2.0 .
My deal came with klipsch 10 inch subwoofer I immediately bought a second sub because of the lack of bass.
The sound of the speakers do break in with use. I am happy with the set up but when I first purchased I felt like many have said too much highs and not enough mid to low range.
I use them mainly for music.

If you are a Costco member just wait for a sale on the Yamaha or buy refurb from ac4l.
Klipsch is pretty efficient, unless you listen at extraordinary high levels you don't need a lot of power to run them.
Costco.com no longer sells the Yamaha. The only receiver they sell currently is Denon: https://www.costco.com/denon-avr-...05535.html

Atmos is probably worthless in vaulted ceilings, isn't it?

thanks for the reply, Even though theres a lot of reasons i think i'd like to go with klipsch can be intimidating to step into. Things like Receivers Amplifiers etc.

Does a setup like this require a receiver to work?
Yes it does, you would need a 7.1(2) that decodes object based codecs(Atmos/X)

It is for object based module designs which these speakers offer.

There are other designs and they all vary in quality, here is the link to see if any of the others will work for you.

Sweet baby Jesus. My ol' lady will kill me if I get a 11.1.8 setup but that has to be pretty damn cool sounding if done right.

Lol yea to do it right you have to follow those layouts with reference speakers which is not easy for most people.
A 11.1.8 would have to be a pretty big layout and fairly costly!

Been watching this one for a while; tempted by it as I was thinking about the Costco one, but Costco has a much better return policy if I end up not liking it. For $100 more and comes with a sub; that's a great deal I think. I don't know much about that sub though.
Which Costco deal are you talking about?

This one is $100 less but DOES NOT comes with a sub. That's my debate; pay $100 more to Adorama and get a sub which sounds like a great deal, but Costco has a better return policy. I'm not sure how much the sub is worth by itself but any decent sub is going to cost more than $100.

I've Yamaha RX377 which is 5.1. If I'm not planning to use atmos, can I use it for these speakers? It shows 100w per channel but I'm not sure it will be sufficient for these speakers. If not, which budget receiver you expects recommend? Or should I get an amp??

Yes Klipsch is pretty efficient speakers, unless you listen at extremely high levels you should have no problem with that receiver with these.

I would point out this is a 7.1 package, you would paying extra for something you would not be using.
They do make the same model without the object based module this has, which is cheaper.
