If it's a common practice, why would the quality be bad if it's the same as the licensed ones???
Like I said there is more to headphone design than just throwing in a Qualcomm chip. Proper drivers are needed to create the sound. Almost none of these cheap TWS buds talk about the drivers they use because they know they use garbage. No mylar or multiple drivers to create the sound. They are almost always tuned to be boomy and bass heavy and incapable of producing detail. Not ripping on Chinese HiFi products. China does make some really good stuff, currently I am using Fiio BTR5 with TIn T3 combo and it is very very good. I have not found a TWS that I like yet. My one plus bullets 2 is the best stand alone bluetooth headphones that I have tried so far.

There was a time when Chinese sellers wouldn't astroturf reviews of $17 wireless earbuds.
Times must be tough these days....

Lol, these are all over eBay, amazon. I recognized them from my own store. You can get them on Ali too of course. Haven't tried them yet. Good price.

But wouldn't you agree that we all want more for less and we, the consumers (slick dealee) are driving the Chinese market to produce these types of cheap goods. If there is no demand, then there is no product. We are more responsible than the sellers and the producers. IMHO.

You also sound very picky about your earphones. Nothing wrong with that but to not have found a single TWS that you like? That sounds very picky.

I have purchased and used 5 different pairs of TWS including the Jabra 65t and 4 various cheap brands off Amazon ranging from $17-30. Only 1 of the 4 cheap ones have I returned because of poor quality sound. The other 3 sounds decent to pretty good. None are perfect but none "sounds like crap". They each have there little issues such as touch control, battery life, etc but none of the 3 i kept sound like crap. Of course, i only use it for music/podcasts and not talking on the phone.

I have no idea how these are but I am just saying I would take your opinion with a grain of salt if you are one of those people who think all cheap TWS sound like crap, because in my opinion they don't. Most people are probably not as picky as you.

It doesn't look like this has volume control, so for me that is a dealbreaker.

They sound like crap. There is more to headphone design then just throwing a Qualcomm chip in and including a small battery and usb-c port. Manufacturers are literally giving headphones like these away for free in exchange for positive reviews on Amazon.
You are 100% correct what Amazon is doing to get positive feedback. They will not even post negative feedback on items that have been given to customers and exchange for 4 to 5 star review. I did that once, never again. Be warned people

got motorola buds for about same price couple months ago. most of the buds and bluetooth headphones i got form amazon at ridiculously low price perform as good as the name brand, and some even better. so i don't even look at the brand anymore. i get it and look at the built quality and then i test them out, and if they work for a month without any issue they usually last for many years without any issues.

In for one, just for the fact that this also doubles as a portable battery pack. I'm no audiophile, so long as there's no clipping, static, or sounds like it's playing through tin cans, I'm sure it'll be acceptable for me...at least that's the hope.

first of all, this is bluetooth. so the idea that you are going to hear detail is out of the window. you are going to have to pay $300+ for that. for 99% of the people this is great quality puds for running in the park, working out in the gym, or zoom call.

when motorola bluetooth headphone first came out i payed $90. my sister purchased $22 no name brand headphone that made my motorola sound like garbage. i purchased same headphones that my sister got and i have been using it for 3 years now.

lesson: high price does not give you quality. and low price is not necessary bad.
