Waiting for a complete, usable deal. Without charger, useless for me.

There are guys on FB groups offloading M12 chargers for like $15. People complain that they have so many.

Yes it is. And if you click the link to HomeDepot, it shows pics of the friction ring up close.

Is this a return the battery kind of deal? Any idea what those batteries come back for? This stubby is on my to buy list
This doesn't appear to be that sort of deal. Usually when you can do that, Home Depot sells a battery kit and you can choose a free tool to go along with it. When you check out, it'll be split into two items. A reduced cost battery kit and a reduced cost tool. You then just return the battery kit. For this special, it all checks out as 1 item.

I'm trying to understand why this isn't thumbs up more? I see in the history a few lower priced deals for the tool only ($159-$139). So the battery isn't worth $20-$40? Am I missing something?

I've been on the fence for a while on this purchase. I do automotive work as a hobby and I have a rigid x5 1/2 impact and and a Kobaly 24v Impact (Big gun).

Is the stubby small enough to get behind brake calipers to remove the bolt and the like?

I assume because a lot of SDers already have a handful of batteries for these already? I just realized I only have one of the slim batteries, so I'll probably jump on this.

There's a photo on the page of someone using it to remove a brake caliper bolt. Of course, from all you can tell from the photo, that could be the brake on a tow truck with enough room you could stand behind it.
