Wonder if it will support Dolby Vision
The chipset does and other identical hardware devices do so there is a good possibility.

Just tried to buy two. The Walmart associate didn't even know they had them. I spotted a bunch in a cage behind the register in the center of Electronics. Associate pulled out two for me and the system wouldn't let him sell them when he scanned them repeatedly. No price popped up on the register.

Oh well. Looking forward to the release!

If it is indeed under $50 then it's a winner, afraid Walmart is more like $59 from leaked screenies. Even that price point surprised some analysts so still pretty hot.

According to XDA Developers, Google Sabrina will have a quad-core Amlogic S905X2 processor clocked at 1.8GHz and 2GB of RAM. The Android TV dongle will support 4Kp75 10-bit H.265 content-encoding, video output up to 4Kp60 from HDMI 2.1, HDR 10, HLG, Dolby Vision, and HDMI 2.1 Auto Low Latency Mode.

https://googlechromecast.com/goog...ice-range/ MSRP is still at least $10-20 less than the current gen Ultra Chromecast.

Using a Shield for downstairs and want a cheaper option for the bedroom TV. Its either this or a Firestick 4K.

I'm leaning towards this but waiting to see how easy it is to load Kodi and sideload apps.

If anyone gets one please report
what about Roku? About $30, also often on sale

So is this going to actually have a UI for channels, and an actual remote, instead of making me do everything on my damned phone like the old Chromecast? I bought one of those and returned it within a couple of hours.

Same here. I'm moving away from Amazon.
I never liked my Fire Stick, it sits there and I use Chromecast and Roku. Good move to get away from it. Roku Stick+ has been amazing for us!

Can this be used as a Plex server? 2gb ram, so should handle 1080p streams. What say?

I'd be weary. Make sure it is not as buggy as other Android TV products like the Xiaomi Mi Box S.

Yeah but this has Android TV (Google TV) similar to the FireSticks.

If this can run a full Android TV OS it would be a great competitor to Fire stick and the Xiaomi box, Shield etc

Even though Fire TV can sideload it doesn't run Google services which a lot of sideloaded streaming apps need

Had no idea this was even coming out.. I'm sold if it has Chrome browser built in... The Amazon Fire TV Silk browser just doesn't cut it on some streaming websites...
