This is bomber crew's lowest price I believe. When I picked it up on the last sale, it was $3.74.

It's quite challenging, needs all kinds of multitasking. Good RTS. There are 2 expansions too.

Oops....

This deal aside....

In my growing pile I recommend:

Scribblenauts (unlimited and/or showdown,)
Stardew-Valley
Pokemon!
Some lego games

If you want to play with your kid, I'd further suggest
Spirit Farer (great co-op)
Ni no kuni (a studio ghibli jrpg)

There's also a bunch of always expensive nintendo oruginals-- mario, luigi's mansion, yoshi...

I like Metroidvania games, and have been eyeing Valfaris for a while now. It seems to be decently rated but was wondering if anyone here has experience with it and can comment. Thanks in advance.

The only one -here- that stands out to me for young-ish kids is Toki. It's a puzzle game that rewards planning.

I think you're thinking of Toki-Tori not Toki. Easy to confuse.

For everyone asking about games for kids, I'd say Okami HD and Snake Pass are probably the most kid accessible games on this list.

Capcom Beat 'Em Up looks pretty good for $10 if you grew up in the 90s and played those games in the arcade. Man, I wish Alien Vs. Predator was in the package replacing one of the knights games though, that game was awesome and it's a Capcom game too. Must've been a license thing.

I have it. More pattern and timing based. Some dependency on weapon selection. Rewarded for skipping to use checkpoints. It's frustratingly difficult. But its what I enjoy.

With the Slain double pack, I think it's a good deal if you're in Metroidvania genre. I've been waiting for the physical Slain to drop in price.

Well, that should be of interest to me because I am also a huge fan of the Souls series games. Thanks for the input! Repped!

Ended up getting bomber crew. Started it up and it hooked me in. Played it literally all day.

Well worth the price. Found out a sequel is coming out next month. Gonna get that as well.

I think this is the cheapest I've seen Iconoclasts for on Switch. Great game.
I really enjoy metroidvanias, but I just couldn't get into Iconoclasts. One of the few in that genre that I just ended up giving up on as I lost interest (the other being Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom). With so many other great metroidvanias on the Switch, I find it hard to recommend.

If you haven't played them but like 2D souls inspired games, I highly recommend Blasphemous and Salt & Sanctuary. Blasphemous has a bit more of a metroidvania emphasis but still has a souls feel. Salt & Sanctuary leans more on the souls side and is the closest I've found to a 2D Dark Souls. I guess I should mention Hollow Knight too which I would hope you've already played by now (anyone who even slightly enjoys DS or Metroidvanias must play it).

Thanks Nick! Hollow knight was a great game. Salt and Sanctuary has been on my radar. Blasphemous is now on my radar as well. The game looks pretty good. I don't know how it slipped by me. Repped!

If you have a Costco membership, this deal would be even sweeter with the gift card.

Phoenix Wright is coming up as $29.99 for me. The other handful that I checked are still on sale.
