I purchased this same bay two years ago, it gave out within 6 months. Read errors and connection time outs
The same thing happened to me. Don't buy it, it's not worth risking data loss

Bought this two weeks ago for 34.99. Used it half a dozen times transfering cod warzone from an ssd over to multiple 1tb hard drives. Also cloned over a 2.5 hdd to an ssd. Works well. Would have jumped on this deal if I didn't buy it two weeks ago.

When offline cloning to a larger drive, the partition created is of the same exact size as the original drive. Ex: 250gb ssd as C drive cloned to 500gb ssd. The 500gb will have the partition as 250gb and is NOT expandable. The rest of the space has to be manually partitioned with a few clicks to become usable/recognizable. At least this was my experience with the very limited pedestrian knowledge I possess regarding tech.

Still shows $21.68 on the product page but changes back to $34.99 at checkout. Sad.

EDIT: Weird. It worked after a few tries.

This or wait for the WAVlink version

I've just been waiting for the WAVlink to go back on sale
I had the wavlink and promptly returned it. It has a huge issue: i can't copy or move files between two drives plugged in (not the disk clone, just copy in file explorer); 100% of the time it'd seize up the system

I almost jumped on this but read some reviews that this toaster, along w/ several others that use the same chip has a nasty habit of corrupting the gpt partition.
i kinda dont want to mess w/ that at all.

I have an earlier model that I bought about 5 years ago. I have probably converted 125 or more HDDs to SSDs with it. I have never had an issue. I would buy this again, but the original just keeps working. Very pleased.

Someone mentioned that the drives might not be recognized by Windows. Try using MiniTool Partition Wizard (free). It seems to recognize the drives when Windows will not.

Want to be inconvenienced in 3-6 months? Then buy Sabrent! This brand is complete garbage. Every Sabrent item I've dealt with (2 docks, 2.5" enclosure, usb to ide/sata converter) all crapped out within months. Thank goodness I only paid for one of these items.
