I think Acer came with 1x8GB, But I have to check it again.

Regarding the drives, I am kinda late to the game so I am having trouble telling the difference between the one that's $80 and one that's $150 (minus $30)

This one 150-30
https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-Rocket-Internal-Performance-SB-ROCKET-1TB/dp/B07LGF54XR/?tag=slicinc-... [amazon.com]

and this one $80
https://www.newegg.com/team-group-ms30-1tb/p/N82E16820331233?sdtid=14369822&nm_mc=AFC-RAN-COM&cm_mmc... [newegg.com]

Are these completely different technology?

I thought 2.5" had a bay under the laptop but looks like we have to open back cover for any of these upgrades so since we will open anyway, we might as well get m2
BTW, before you make any purchase, open the Laptop and see what is the size of the second M.2 slot and if the 2.4" bay has the needed connector to connect a 2.5" drive. At least for the AMD version, there are reports that the second M.2 slot is not the standard sized 2280 but a smaller 2242 M.2 Slot. In that case, you need to buy a 2242 SSD. All the suggested drives above are M.2 2280 form factor and won't fit, if the laptop has a 2242 slot for the second M.2 Bay.

Those two are completely different technologies, although using m.2 form factor. Sabrent is PCIe and ms30 is sata iii and lot slower. I think I've posted a deal on XPG SX8800 1TB PCIe nvme SSD at $106. You can get that if you want a fast nvme drive.
I never realized that, now I know why my old m2 was slow and my new m2 is much faster read/write speeds like Ram Disk. So if I juts want to get more space to install more games, do I need the faster speed if the main difference is load times, but if it's half price I might consider slower one, if it's just like $20-$30 difference, I think it's worth going with fast one.
So it needs to be PCIe not SATA III, right?

I will check that, hopefully youtube videos will explain which one. Thanks again.
