Not walkie talkies. Ham radio license required for legal use.

Don't need a ham lic to monitor and if really wanted to transmit they have places for that and you know what those are don't be a radio nazi only cause more sales and illegal keys.

I don't really understand what you meant by the last part of your comment, but sure feel free to listen all you'd like without a license. My point was that when people see the terms "walkie talkie" or "2-way radio" they might think they are free to use these as they'd like and that's not true. Just as driving is a privilege and it's illegal to drive without one, transmitting on the ham bands is also a privilege that requires a license and is illegal without one.

They got FRS zone for walkie talkie of it's in the band spread or if that even exists anymore, but usually tell ppl they can't do something for sure way to get them to do just that just saying.
Some repeater ops they don't even care if you have a lot or not if an get in there mostly lists key fest.
And driving the roads should be a right really sinve people that pay for them. and really.who is enforcing the airwaves FCC? 'm sure in emergency not really gonna matter if hold a license or not.
If there is an emergency (protection of life or property) and normal communications systems are not available, then it is legal to transmit on any frequency without a license. Otherwise, get a license. Yes, there's a test...but if I was able to get licensed at 10 years old I think an adult can manage. Why is this such a difficult concept?

MURS band capable and license free. I use these baofengs around the property on MURS bands, keep it at 1W and set up a filter code. Easy cheap comms for compound security detail.

You're 10 years old!? Son, put down the ham radio, turn off the computer, and go outside.
