I bought this at $199.99 about six weeks ago (Figures - Just outside the price match). It goes on sale 9/30-10/25 for $40 off.

We love it - There's a steep learning curve (It runs HOT, and you will burn things easily), but once you figure it out, it's all worth it. It's done cooking before my range would even be heated up. No soggy microwaved crap.

The digital one is very useful, as it does two stage cooking easily (Frozen Tater Tots: 375 for 9 minutes, 400 for 3 minutes... You can thank me later).

We don't have room for a toaster oven, too... This is a handy combination.

Our house has a fancy thermador double oven from the prior owner. I have one of these ovens (maybe a slightly different mode, but close), the small oven cooks 95% of our meals. Works great, heats up fast and is plenty large enough for most of the meals we cook.

Would this toaster oven be good for making sausages super crisp and bacon? I also want to use it on livers, hearts, and gizzards. Maybe intestines and kidneys. I like eating crispy food with a bit of burnt/char. I know the foods I listed can potentially splatter due to oil and livers. How's the clean up on these aka maintenance?

One of the other features I see it can do is Low Temperature Setting to Slow Cook, Braise. Has anyone tried?

I might get a instant pot since I have a large oven. How does it compare to owning this VS a hot point oven? {the brand of my oven}

For anyone who bought this at Costco recently (last 30 days or so): remember that you can get a price adjustment at the membership desk by giving them the item number and your membership card. Typically they'll hand you cash, but they will do shop cards also. Sometimes I've been offered a Visa refund of the price difference. Also done this on items well beyond 30 days of my purchase date.

I have that exact one you linked from Amazon and I don't recommend it. 3 months after I bought it the freaking timer gets stuck so if I don't watch it it runs indefinitely. Cooks great though but I am getting rid of it and I'll get one with a digital timer.
Why is that such a common fail point with these things? I've gone through several, albeit cheap, toaster ovens that this happens to and I chuck them right away as it such a huge fire risk. How can something this expensive have the same problem?

what do they ask for? i dont keep the box and didnt register it when first bought. i think the deal was on mid sept or oct last year from jcpenney. could be either very close or more than a yr
They asked for the serial number off the bottom of the unit. They also ask for you to return it with their prepaid shipping label. I waited for the replacement to arrive, and reused their shipping material to return it.

Looks like a great deal. For those that have it, is it something I could put away after using easily. Link says 20lbs, so I'm guessing it's mostly left on the counter but that's something we lack - shelf space we have lots of.
