I'm an avid collector of transformers, and this is the best deal to date. Amazon just got these back in stock, while other sites are still behind or OOS (Walmart, Target, etc.). 3rd party sites reselling for 90$+ (retails $79.99).This is the 2nd (of 3) installment collection in the WFC series.

You say Amazon just got them back in stock and reselling sites are $90+, but there are multiple third party sellers on Amazon selling for $67.99 Prime, even lower than Amazon. Doesn't quite add up.

in general, yes there are resells above retail. I've had personal bad experiences with some 3rd party for lower or same prices, plus difficult to return unlike Amazon or brick retailers. won't be perfect for inbox collectors, but the return option preferred, personally.

All of the 3rd party sellers are selling Fulfilled by Amazon - it's the exact same return process at Amazon and is fully automated.

Good Price OP. Thanks The price will probably go back up on the 3rd party sellers once amazon goes out of stock again.

as of yesterday, Amazon was cheapest. the 3rd party probably matched and lowered recently. bad on me for not checking right before i posted. in any case, this is still a great deal, and I'm sure collectors of similar hobby would appreciate. thanks.

I had this model when I was a kid, my mom brought it from woolworth's. I wanna say the lynx can be battery-operated to walk on its own. Does anybody remember if this model can be battery-operated? I think my parents still have this at their place.

I had it too! Mines was bought from a good friend for a couple of bucks iirc, he was one of those kids that got every single toy that comes out from his parents so he didn't mind letting a few go for cheap.

Yes the lynx was battery operated.

The old one is actually bigger than this one. This has better possibility though.

Price of Transformers figures have gotten ridiculously expensive. Even at this price...crazy...nearly $70 for a figure. I remember getting Skylinx voyager version a few years ago at Ross stores for only $15!

That was a clearance price. Also, the Earthrise version is larger, better build quality and better articulation.

Yeah. old Transformers are diecast on certain parts, but there is a significant quality in builds and articulation since just 5 years ago. Hasbro has started using laser printers to manufacture these in perfect measurements and size. Obviously, plastic and toy parts are more expensive because of inflation. But these new Transformers are articulated and engineered so well. I miss the days when Deluxe sizes were $5.99. Today, it's like they're $14 or $16, but the larger sized voyagers are pretty nice. Best to wait for sales of course, if they're not popular.

For sure. Those pining for the good old days of G1 transformers don't realize that just because they were die cast doesn't mean they were durable. I would know I've broken a few of my cousin's G1 transformers back in the day when I was a little one. Nowadays even if they are made of all plastic the joints work better, are more durable, more poseable, and many times you can just snap them back on if you break them off. Plus they are much better designed too. I'm as nostalgic as any Reagan kid but today's transformers are several levels above the old G1 toys. And now with this series they LOOK even more G1 then the old actual G1 toys.

The original G1 version is most certainly smaller than this one.
