FLTR a.k.a. Shining Star Electronic Tech was one of only two Chinese N95 mask makers listed in FDA early authorized respirator list back in March, which also included 3M and Moldex. Sorry, no Honeywell.

Envirosafety Products has been in business for a long time and is a big company with many distribution centers so I absolutely trust all the products they sell.
Yes. And lowes is too and homedepot and Amazon, etc yet they were caught getting fake products. These are the same price as counterfiet ebay 3m masks. Each box should have a serial code and a purchase code that when u input them in 3m's website, then they'll tell u if they are legit. Masks that do not come with those or show a different production date and expiration are most likely fake.

Can you wear these multiple times or throw away after each use?
Designed to be for one use but can definitely be used multiple times. Just put them on a rotation allowing each mask to sit three days before use again.

What incident do you know of that Lowe's and home Depot were caught selling counterfeit products? To my knowledge they don't deal with third party comingled inventory like Amazon does?

I haven't found any 3M not made in China, where were yours made? I know they make some domestically but only a fraction of what they crank out.

Honeywell is made overseas too but not China, I've missed out on any I've tried to get to date but I'm still at it.
I have 3M Made In USA before and after the pandemic started. The after version has a secure code and validated as authentic. Price is very reasonable too.

Not really. Only certain models have the secure code.

However, if you have the real one from before to compare then no problem.

You can actually sterilize them with dry heat using an instapot. There's a study on YouTube where they tested it and the mask can be used 20 times before it became ineffective It's the rice setting although they don't specify it. https://youtu.be/o7-k0EIR0To

If these fit your face well, then they are worth every penny. That's the biggest problem with these type of masks for those who want the ultimate protection, if it doesn't form an airtight seal then it's not worth the expenditure. Costco seems to accept returns on these, so might be worth trying out the fit if you need this type of protection.
If they don't fit, consider donating them to a medical office or hospital instead of returning to Costco. You would think those places would want the best protection for their workers but that's often not the case.

Nothing wrong with knowing how much of a COVID markup you're paying.

Grainger has a lot of options for N95 now and they are cheaper than Costco.
I was able to purchase and pickup the masks made by Moldex. (No more order cancellations)

When I looked earlier, literally the only N95s they had ready to ship out now were those Honeywells, which don't fit my face well. The rest are backordered.

I went for 3M N95 masks and stayed away from anything China made when it comes to protecting my health.

I have read too way too many horror stories about certification fraud with factories in China so when at all possible, I stay away from China made medical, food and other health related items.

If you look hard enough masks from 3M, Honeywell and other major US manufacturers can be found online. For the price they are charging for these Made in China marks, going instead for product made by a reputable US company is a no brainer.
Manufacturer Details for Shining Star Electronic Technology Co., Ltd
9F, No. 33 Lane 166 Sec 2 Meishi Rd
Yangmei Dist. Taoyuan, , TAIWAN 32668

Brand is from Taiwan, not China.

That said, would you buy this over KF94: https://slickdeals.net/f/14213822-dr-puri-kf94-masks-48-for-20-2-40-each-made-in-korea

To me, KF94 sounds pretty much equivalent.
