Ah yes that famous chef "Boyardee" https://static.slickdealscdn.com/ima...lies/smile.gif . Good stuff but prefer the cheese ravioli.
Interestingly, he was a real person. Not sure if your quotes were meant to show that, but if not here's hist story: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ettore_Boiardi

So many of my cans from Amazon arrive damaged. I ordered but am trying to decide whether to cancel. It is a much better deal then my grocery store has. The beef ones never seem to go on sale.

It is in the spirit of a quote from 'Ratatouille ' : "Gusteau has finally found his rightful place in history right alongside another equally famous Chef, Monsieur Boyardee.".
Anyway the stuff is no worse than fast food and once in a while won't kill you.

Buyer beware! I got four of the four packs last time these were on sale. The package arrived with packing tape literally around the entire box that USPS had added to seal it shut. Inside there was a large garbage bag and inside the garbage bag, at least 2 exploded cans of ravioli. The rest of the cans were all dented. Starting the return process, Amazon auto refunded the Ravioli without return (thank goodness), but if you want a mess and an "annotation" on your Amazon account for a no-return refund (do too many and you get blacklisted) buy this crap. Otherwise, buy it in the local store because this didn't survive shipping well apparently as it bounced around in a standard oversized Amazon box with a single strap of packing tape.

Update: Even added a photo for you guys to see one of the exploding culprits in my USPS provided garbage bag.

For those who have access to an Aldi store, maybe consider their store brand Bon Italia Ravioli. It's in short supply during this pandemic, but if you can find it, it's a better product than Chef Boyardee.

The sauce of the Bon Italia is less acidic than Chef's, and it's also slightly more protein and calorie dense. It's also a little bit lighter sodium-wise at 750mg vs 800mg for Chef Boyardee.

I definitely wouldn't recommend eating any canned pasta on a regular basis, but I wouldn't trip out too much about occasional usage.

The cheese one is a guilty pleasure of mine, but I haven't seen it in stock at the grocery store or Target since this whole pandemic started.

Our most economical lockdown food supply: 200 lbs of rice. If my ancestors survived on rice gruel in famines, we theoretically can too. Can't beat the cost per calorie and the efficiency of storing it compared to those freeze dried buckets of crap.
