Make sure you check every one of the cans when you receive the shipment. Mine looked like they were literally ran over by a truck, big dents everywhere.

Yup...be ready for dents. I lost 1/4 of the shipment to big dents.

Last time I ate these was during hurricane Irma. No power no food. Pure desperation. I pray that I am never forced to do that again.
Haven't you stock up on something that taste better unheated by now? Smilie

when I was in college, I'd grab a can of this for work lunch and just eat it out of the can, cold. I'd always stare at the spoon or fork wondering how bad this stuff is that in 10min, it stained the plastic so quick.
The acidity from the tomato causing the carcinogens in the plastic to leach perhaps, good question for your chemistry professor! Confused

$0.88 a can at Walmart (or $3.52 for a 4-pack) but pickup only

This deal is slightly cheaper by only 16¢ but is delivered...

So whether this is a deal or not is questionable
Thanks, my exact question. Was wondering if I should buy for the local church give-to-the-needy program, but I'll just stick to Walmart.

I got these on the last S&S deal, a relic of my childhood memories when the parents were working and I needed food. As an adult, I can taste the metal from the can in the sauce, and the meat is grainy and almost mealy. I donated the other seven cans to the food bank at the church down the block. Surely they'll go to some kids and we'll start the circle all over again....

People still eat this disgusting stuff? Or worse yet, feed it to their kids?
