This is an OK deal if you need airtime cards soon and are willing to get two of the the same value (that's the only way the discount works the best). But overall it's just 5%, plus an additional redcard 5% if you use that.

A better deal, if you can wait for it and buy the $50 cards, is to wait for the $5 off $50 promo. They just had this last week and I got a $50 Verizon card which I needed. So with the extra Redcard discount, it came out to about $43 for $50 credit I added to my Verizon prepaid account. That's about the best deal you'll ever get for Target airtime, except rarely there might be something better around Black Friday.

I can't quite agree with you there. As recently as June, Target was offering a $10 gift card on a $50 Phone card purchase. Previously, about a year ago, not BF they had a BYGO 30% discount making it effectively 15% per card plus the RedCard discount.

I would therefore rate this week's deal as mediocre and agree with you that if you need refills right now, go for it. I just want to give them credit for occasionally offering a really nice discount.

OK those are definitely better. The $10 off $50 would definitely be great I must have missed that. With my purchase of the $5 off $50 last week, I'm now "padded" until the Holiday season, so will see what comes up then. That tends to be the best time, and it's not just BF, but sometimes also in the weeks leading to Christmas and even in January, as people are getting airtime for new phones they got.

Also that's usually the best time for Video Game (Nintendo, PSN, XBox, Steam) card deals, which haven't come up much lately (I think they used to be more common.) Maybe this season with new console launches and Nintendo Switch still being very hot, we'll see more game card deals (hopefully).

We agree this week's deal is a "get it if you need it now" deal only.

Hi, was the $10 gift card on a $50 Phone card purchase on SD? Can you send a link? Thanks.

**ljderm - Nevermind, I found it. Thank you.
