Anyone have details on how this works? I never understood how you get 100% back. Do you get the value available towards you next purchase? Do they send you a check in the mail? TIA
See links to program information in post #11.

What is the benefit of using the 20% off coupon since I will get 100% back? Thanks.
Reduce the initial outlay.
Reduce the amount of Rewards to be redeemed.
Reduce sales taxes on both the purchase earning Rewards and the purchase redeeming Rewards.

You need to be first enrolled in the Rewards program. If you buy online whatever you buy should automatically have the Rewards info in your account when you checkout. If you buy in store you need a Rewards card or simply use the phone number associated with the account. It depends on the store, in some you have to say your number. In others you input the phone number on the keypad.

With the batteries and other 100% back merchandise like K-cups which OD sometimes has after the purchase you will receive the Rewards within 48 hours of purchase. You have a few months to use the Rewards.

When you shop online or in store you have the option to buy with Rewards. Online there is an option at checkout. In the store I give the phone number and then tell the cashier that I want to pay with Rewards.

I do ink recycling every month because I go through lots of cartridges. Already did my September rewards.

So I'll do this deal in October.

Some people know of the OD Rewards program more than others. A year ago at this time I had no idea how the program worked. Every month you can recycle 10 ink catridges (any cartridges - can be name brand or generic). You get $2 per so that's $20. This can only be done in store and have to be brought to the cashier. You give them your card or phone number associated with the account.

The catch is to qualify during the month you have to spend $10 out of pocket every month. So my out of pocket is usually a 100% back Rewards product which is mostly the batteries.

As for the leaking batteries issue. I had to throw out alot last year because of leaks. In January I bought a marine box to keep out elements. So far all the new batteries I have purchased have not leaked. I have no idea if the box helps or I just got lucky. I got the box at Walmart and it's called "Plano Synergy Water Resistant O-Ring Sealed Marine Emergency Box, Orange." When I purchased it was $3.50. The price online now is over $18.

Has anyone's rewards shown up yet? My order only seems to have received 2% in rewards.

It's all YMMV based on your location and your needs. I live in SoFL.

For the past year, I got a lot of clearance deals. My best get was a $150 shredder for $30. Then I got a lot of pens and velcro, clear storage envelopes at 90% off.

A few months ago I got a few dozen Realspace storage boxes with covers. Original price was $10 they were on clearance for $2.

Once in a while you can find a nice clearance deal online.

In the past few weeks, every OD near me has greatly reduced their clearance.

OD is usually expensive at regular price. If I have no idea what to buy I get a lot of household products such as ziplocks, garbage bags, plastic utensils. The 24 pack of bottled water is $4 at everyday price. Sometimes it's 2 for $5.

Also, since the prices can be higher, you can do a price-match and use your rewards

at least dollar store batteries won't blow out inside of your devices

i have a bunch of of those zinc harbor freight batteries. sure, they aren't as powerful as duracell but they don't leak out all over place after a handful of years

it's a moot point now, i have completely switched over to rechargeables and for C and D i use adapters.

their inhouse bottled water has never been onsale 2 for $5 after they got rid of the geisha spring water. that 2 for $5 was gone for almost a yr. back in the day where they used to sell only geisha spring water.

their od garbage bags are really garbage. thinner than my grocery bags. it breaks and leaks everytime we use.

ziplocks and plastic utensils are always 30% more than walmart or dollarstores. you cant really pm to other stores because their model and counts are always different.
