You would be better off buying a membership and the TV to get the extra 3 years. It would run you about $40 more than this deal but net you a membership in the deal. Costco dogs and free samples for the win 😉
They don't do free samples anymore bc of the pandemic 🙁

I'm getting tempted to buy this as the 65 inch is basically going on sale for the same price as the 55 in retail price. Was hoping to get a new TV for the PS5 but don't know if I should dish out this much for a tv or buy something like the 2020 TCL when on sale. Also don't know if it will get any better than this (including the 55 inch) on BF?

Love this TV, got it last time it went on sale for $1200. Good HDR performance, perfect natural colors, Android OS is silky smooth. Motion is a step or two above from my other TVs (X850G, R625, H9G)
Promised future HDMI 2.1 VRR firmware update sweeten the deal.
How is it for live sports? That's all I really care about. My kids watch Netflix but they don't care what it looks like

Or, just live with the Sony 5 yr warranty it comes with.

I have this TV, it is exceptional IMO. I am wondering if the promised update will be dropped later this year which could explain the deep price discount. But I'll still hope!

I wish the HDR on this set wasn't so dim as HDMI 2.1 is enticing.

Yes except at the moment Sony has not enabled VRR and HDMI 2.1 nor 4K 120hz for it yet on this TV. They said they will release these features in a future software update but with no official release date.

I may be wrong, but thought i read that the 5 yr warranty is from Sony (not costco).
