Wont Best Buy price match this if you ask?
You're right... BBY should match WMT and AMZN. I may give it go. Thanks!

I may be wrong, but thought i read that the 5 yr warranty is from Sony (not costco).
It is, but Sony/Costco still have it listed as 3 years. The 5 year goes live on the sale date of 9/30. You will technically get 7 years with the Citi card.

I've got a 10% off code for my birthday at BB, I wonder if they will price match and let me apply this promo.

Yes, the 5 years warranty is from Sony but I think you have to buy it from Costco to get the 5 years on the model X90CH. On the Costco box right now, it says 3 years mfg. warranty. But if you buy it during the promo period, they pump it to 5 years.

I checked the Walmart/Amazon site, as well as the official Sony site and all says one year warranty on the model X900H. So prior to the sale, Sony/Costco offers 3 years and with the sale, it bumps up to 5 years.

Think the key is the model number between X90CH and X900H. We all think of them they as the same product in terms of functionality but in terms of the warranty, there is a difference.

I think you're remembering the 2019 models (G) being on sale.

This is the lowest it's ever been on Amazon according to CCC.

I think that promo excludes almost everything good, like TVs.

Or, just live with the Sony 5 yr warranty it comes with.
The Walmart warranty isn't 5 years.

Hisense H9G with a little QC variance at the same price vs this Sony X900H with meaningfully dimmer picture for HDR BUT promise of HDMI 2.1. Kinda makes the TCL R635 a meaningless set at this price vs. the Sony with it's "almost 2.1" (all but 4k120). I mean TCL almost the best of both but not quite matching either.

Realistically all 3 are stupid good compared to where we were a few years ago. Let's hope the price sticks because it's a rip-off at $1400.

I bought this TV based on reviews and evaluating in person, I figured if the price came down to the 1k point it would be the best value for money. Yes the new Hisense and TCL are getting
great reviews as well and compare favorably with the 900H, Buuuut, this is a SONY, it's replacing my 14 year old Sony 'that's still working'. For those of you that have access to the Military Exchange I bought it for 999. As there's no sales tax that works out to 940 for me. And delivery is free too.
