It's amazing that I've been out of HS for 20 years and these things are pretty much at the same price when I bought them in 2000ish. You'd think it would've gotten cheaper after all this time.
Highschool: "You need this calculator to succeed in college. You will be using it all the time."

College: "You are not allowed to use a TI-84. Only scientific calculators are allowed."

Me: .....so that's $100 wasted...

These things are pretty tough and haven't changed in 20 years. How is there not a huge used market for these? Retail is still what I paid in 2008..

eBay is a great place to get calculators for a great price! I once spent $180
On a ti-89, now they are $30ish. That's the best call I've ever used too (engineer here)
