In 25 years of working in tech, I've literally never once seen a 14" laptop that has a numeric keypad. Methinks you're just looking for reasons to threadcrap.

And FWIW, lots of us would prefer no numeric keypad on laptops because it puts the keyboard off center from the display. In fact, if you look at a lot of the popular desktop PC keyboards out there these days they don't have numpads.
Nice deal if there wasn't any rebate nonsense.
Basically Newegg isn't that generous when it comes to returns. You will also pay for the shipping unless it's their fault. Any small issues with return will result in prolong wait time for your refund. I only buy deals that's cheap enough from Newegg now. Nothing big.

I haven't bought from Newegg in a long time. Could you elaborate on what's wrong with their return policy?

Same here. Don't want to risk it with their rebate.

How does MSI in terms of quality compares with other well known brands like dell, HP or Lenovo?

Had a MSI convertible laptop from the early days of convertibles that survived a lot of abuse (drops and other accidents) for around 3-4 years. A final coffee spill finally got to it, and it's now somewhere being used like a desktop. SD card slot, keyboard failed, swapped battery once.
Didn't have the firmware issues or sleep issues I've had with other laptops. Fewer issues than a Dell XPS 13.

No numeric keypad...Sorry, but no go - the keyboard is the primary interface one has to deal with for most work,
